Merry Mayhem - Your Story

This is the thread where you may tell your story and experience after taking part in Merry Mayhem Event.

Here is mine:

After MA announced that event I was quite excited and thought "how could I win that event?". Well I knew I had no chance cause I can't play 24/7 and I don't have friends to share my account. So I was happy when MA announced the rules some hours before event start where you may play 6 hours only during a 24 hours period. Before the event started I got ready with ammo and went south of Ithaca to be next to the mobs when I login again.

Day 1:
I logged in and stood in the middle of some dozen Exas. I saw only red points on my radar and was fapping like hell. No chance, after some seconds an Alpha killed me with crit hit. I just thought: "Great start "
After half an hour of hunting (60 Atrox killed) I logged off for a rest and to review my strategy. I thought how about hunting Exas whithout looting them to save time. But I was not sure if it would count points so I wrote a support case to MA to ask if it counts. So I decided to hunt Exas with my MKIV and I killed them in 1-2 shots and looted them also (as long as I didn't get an answer from MA). Loot was kinda bad and I had no global on them.
On my hunt on a quite crowded area with Exas, two green points appears on my radar suddenly. They came closer and closer and I saw they didn't wear any armor nor were shooting at Exas. These 2 guys crossed my way and all the Exas were following them. I just thought WTF and decided to follow them. So after some seconds following them I saw another guy shooting at that Exas and I recognized that the others were just farmers bringing the mobs to the hunter .
After 6 hours with several breaks I killed about 1600 Exas and 60 Atrox (so 1780 points).

Day 2:
I decided to hunt Atrox again as long as I don't recieve an answer from MA. To kill and loot Exas took to much time and the spawn was also not what I expected.
I got some globals on Atrox and it worked better than the first day . But I had a huge decay on my armor because I had mostly several mobs on me.
I finnished the day with killing about 780 Atrox (2340 points).
Well I knew my chances to win one of the prizes are approximating 0% but I hoped that maybe some of the players will hunt some seconds more than 6 hours and being disqualified. I decided to keep up the event especially because I saw some ATH on Atrox Young & Mature so that would be a nice christmas present also.

Because on 24th I wouldn't have much time to hunt I wanted to do some hours for period #3 on 23rd. So at 18h local time I logged in and start to hunt again. After 6-7 minutes I realized that MA time was 17h and logged off imediately. I was still in period #2 and I started to count my session time. In period #2 I made 5 breaks and I always wrote down session time -1 minute. So I had about 5 minutes tolerance but not 6 or 7. Well that's it, probably I will be disqualified so I'm out

After all I'm ok because it was quite hard to hunt for 6 hours as hell (can't imagine how it would be without 6 hour rule) and now the pressure is gone . I'm glad I may mine, craft, chat, TP run with disciples and hunt as I'm usually doing and I will also save ped because I lost 1-2k on that event.
I'm happy that I will spend new years eve together with my GF and nephews without a stringent necessity to play the event on 31st-1st to have a nominal chance to win.

I'm looking forward to play CES Events on January 8, where I registered for 3 out of 4 events. Chance to win there is much higher and prizes are great also .

hah, i wonder how is this regulated, players only 6hours? that's hard to do for some un-named people who work here....

hmmm.....my story is I have 600 peds and wanna stay there so am not hunting at all. There's no way i can beat someone who can take down 10 mulak'fs and save me from the 1 mulak'f i'm trying to kill while they killed the 10.

Sorry to kill anyone's hopes and dreams, I'm just saying this as honestly as possible to save some people a lot of time and effort during their Holiday Season. If you think I'm exaggerating, feel free to keep trying. Sorry MA, I'm not trying to kill your profits, but it is the truth and I want everyone to enjoy their Xmas instead of be imprisoned for it as I've decided to do. I'm only trying because I do have one of those guns thankfully.

Up at 6:30 am to finish my 6 hours before the next day's hunt. Spent last night singing Christmas songs with my family. Bring on the Mulaak'f and Gunzy! Gah, day 3 and I'm already tired. I feel so....noobish!

I just wish we had a top10 list of the people in the event, im not taking part (not enuf time over the xmas period) but im interested to see whos winning

I really hope we'll have a top10 @ least @ half event so a lot of people can enjoy holiday as they merit, sure a loss in MA profit, but damn, this a game and not a prison
