CON is a reserved object name for the system console.
In a DOS box, if you type COPY CON log.txt will copy everything you type into the file log.txt until you press CTRL Z Before EDIT.EXE, back when the dinosaur EDLIN.EXE was included with DOS, COPY CON was *the* way to create simple batch files. AG |
