Hi everyone, We all know the visual aspects of progress like HA, gaining skills, moving up to the next level of equipment and what not. I find that many people view progress of their avatars beyond what limited information is MindArk has doled out to us in different ways. I know before there were depth stats on ore and enmatter finders I gauged my progress solely on what I new resources I could find in areas where I used to only find common resources. This is just one example in one profession though. I am curious if new and old avatars measure things differently now that we have more information. So how do you gauge your avatar's progress in EU? Do the stat grinders measure it clearly in statistics? Do you gauge it dependant on what equipment and weapons you can use or mobs you can kill or item you can craft? Thanks ahead of time for sharing your thoughts on this. |

I definitely gauge my hunting progression by what I can kill. Its nice to take on a mob that you thought was beyond your ability and then realize that it wasn't so bad at all.
All these mini-accomplishments mean more to me than just hitting different levels in my profession. Unlocks are big too. I just unlocked CGA this week Only my 3rd unlock in 2 years. I try not to dwell on those too much cuz it makes me feel noobish. |

Like Brian the best guage for me Really is "What can I kill?"
Currently that means I can solo a Hogglo Young without too much difficulty, and can even manage the occassional Mature, tho they kill me 50/50... Similarly, Atrox Alpha no problem... AOA... bit of a problem... The above are all While Armoured, of course.. I'm also finding it interesting to see what I can kill naked, and was happy to discovery recently that the list includes Gradivore Stalkers and Bristlehog Stalkers... A long way to go yet tho. Just as well I plan to stick around ![]() |

I measure my progress by how many ppl with more skills than me are quiting
![]() Unless you mining with the equipment that best suits your skill lvl (and even with) I think its close to imposable to measure advancement in mining. I measure my over all hunting advancement by whats the toughest mobs I can kill. Moving up to a bigger mob is tough, so in the sort term I have smaller goals, like trying to get 50 points in a skill in a month, ect. |

For the most part I gauge my progress through my skills, it's an easy indicator. I also take that a step further and look at my avatars value, that includes skill value + the value of all my items.

With an electron microscope coupled to the Hubble space telescope.
You then get enough magnification to see if anything happens... Given though that you at the same time use time laps photography to record the samples....and over verry long time. That's about it. |
