If your lagging, then for @#$^'s sake turn down the quality until it's ok.

When set to the lowest most people should still be able to play.

That may be MA testing it.. But it's still an actual place in Entropia..

So until someone guess's the location in Entropia that is going to be, it's a no win :P

i dont think thats the same location, it just has the same bridge which is also in a couple of other images.

i was thinking of the massive poly count for all those little leafs and very long range view that allows you to pick out a distant tower... but you are right, we should be able to turn it down, i just hope it will still look half good when you do.

The leaves don't have polygons, they are 2D.
The reason it looks pretty isn't a huge number of polygons, it's because it uses all kinds of fancy shaders and texture maps.

CryEngine has really kick-ass Level of Detail algorithms. Lightyears ahead of the current engines model-popping system.
Thats how you can see so far.. It scales model detail after how much it needs, so something far away has less polys then stuff close up.

And as previously noted, there isn't really a polygon per each leaf, they just make it look like it (almost, unless you know what to look for)
