further, they demostrate the low amount of communication. so far there has been about 3 or 4 interesting peices of information relevent to the actual game from those interviews, other than that they are nice little pop mag questions for the people behind the scenes. but then isnt that what they are supposed to be? yet we hang on every word in the hope we get one nugget of info which should be on the dev blog or otherwise published.

C'mon aridash, that is a little too little said about the interviews...

I really like the interviews, and I find them helpful in several ways.

Hmm in my opinion its not that MA communicates not enough its how they communicate
And maybe not even here on the forum but support department could be more personal i think, that way most of us wont have that feeling we sometimes are being treated like hmm Kids.

Mindark posts on the forums, places information in the client loader, in the dev blog, in the entropia blog, and has been doing more and more interviews lately.

Maybe I haven't asked it in one of my interviews because I didn't know you wanted it asked. Please, explain to me how you could possibly think that Mindark doesn't communicate....

My point is simple , its a very very old wish , and for sure many player share it , to have name of banned people write on som official page.
Now , if MA dont whant it , or if they can not cuz law , fine... they just say it.
But your replay that say it they maybe think its not important , bring back this thread to its point... its lack of comunication...
It is important to many player to know.... its that simple.

If I was locked for this, granted I wouldn't be happy, but would understand there was reason behind it.

You can't go shooting off... ooh there's a bug with payments which is why we locked loads of people... before gathering most of the facts ahead of that point.

Communicating about development in general is also a subject you can't go shooting off about too far ahead. A lot of software development is basically ongoing Research and Development. While you can appreciate "something" is possible to do, how you get there could take very little time, or could take a ridiculously long amount of time. If you've worked in development as long as I have you'd know this.

Communicating too much about the content of VUs and CryEngine 2 implementation could land the company into the territory of promising features that don't turn up on time for one reason or another. In this situation, it is better to be more vague about the functionality.

We all would love to know so much more, but this just isn't realistic.

My only comment here is in regards to the lack of an official forum.

I agree with some other posters here that it's a good thing.

As a general rule, people do stupid things on forums. I think we'd have a lot more drama about official rules of conduct if there was an official forum. Imagine how many "freedom of speech" disidents could end up with their EU accounts banned for violating rules on principle to prove a point. I don't think it would be good for either side.

Also, I think the administration here on EF does a pretty good job keeping pace with what the people want to discuss and keeping the distracting sideshows to a minimum. Do you think MA would be able to sit on a forum and run it better than this?
