Been bugging me a while ....

Guys,

When I look at screenies of big loots or new discoveries the loot window just contains the great loot or discovery.

Now, is it the case that most of you do not keep your loot window open when hunting and close it after every loot ?

If not, then does this mean you hit your ubers on first mob or is there something else going on that I am missing.

Just an honest question, it just seems a bit odd and just wondering if these ubers / discoveries are more selective than we are aware of (us noobs I mean)

I've never gotten a great huge uber anything but for me i close my loot window between each mob...used to not...but now specially if i'm shooting something big that is likely to drop something cool...i do...just in case...lol.

A lot of people close the window after they kill a mob so they can specifically see what they looted from just that mob.

Some uber items are looted in a full loot window, such as the foeripper from an atrax stalker.

Funny enough, the complete opposite bugs me... I cant stand hunting with a full loot window, dont know how people manage to do it.

If I cant see rougly how much i'm looting each time I have no idea if i'm in a good area or not besides when the big one lands I want to see it in all its glory not lost amongst a pile of crap

i never close my loot window, i only have to do it again if i loot again. so, since when i hunt i tend to camp, i keep it open the duration. now that we can't move loot around, it is less usefull, but i am still not closing it.

Depends on my mood. Personally I hate having the lootwindow open because I run on a reasonably low resolution, and it takes up a lot of screen space. If i'm grinding small mobs, i'll keep it open and hide it away behind the HUD. On bigger mobs I tend to close it after every loot.

I think I've seen just as many screenshots of great loot windows that are full from being left open as ones that contain only the hof/uber in question.


I think the people are split roughly even on how they operate, though probably a few more leave it open than close it.

Personally, I usually close mine after each kill. There are certainly exceptions though where I leave it open for a while. I don't ever leave it open for more than 15 minutes or so I'd guess.

I think you've just noticed the screens that seem odd to you and not the ones that seem normal, Rumple. I think that's just kind of how the mind works.

I have aways kept the window open. Though with the missing Loot thing I have been trying to close it after every mob, but I'm finding that a bit of pain.
