I'm really surprised how small amount of people actually understand that last couple of years have made it into boring barbie wet dream, PE used to rock!

this summer I'm going to spend 3 times less minutes in PE than I used to. when cryengine comes, let's see then if it will be the red pill or the blue one... I hope they weren't so predicting with the name of the engine that there will be MA cry day soon after...

Yes that is basically my point, we are in effect shareholders in MA without the ability to vote or express opinion to management. And as EU is an economy it is fragile and subject to external forces as well as the the internal management.

You dont think Shadow is Eco, besides I didnt get it to keep in storage WTF.

Of course I love EU, have met many fine people here and I am not going anywhere. But in case anyone misunderstood my rant let me use a sports metaphor.. its like your team is close to the goal line and has been working very hard, struggled with injuries, but persevered, the game is tied.. then SUDDENLY the referee blows the whistle and moves the goal 10 meters farther. Does this seem like fair. Of course I understand the game is dynamic and this technology is relatively new.. but it sure seems that each change is bias towards MA. Have you ever downloaded an update and thought hmm, the loot seems better. Pfft doubt it.

lost the peds in loot... now you get neatly packaged oils... the mobs have bottles inside them instead of gold and silver?

and gladly i didnt have any decent armor when the footguard *fix* came out...

im just floating around, waiting for the cryengine thing to see if its worth staying

my mining trips now last over a week and use about 200bomb/probes...

Thanks for the obvious... I know the EULA is not a contract to scam. If you feel so strongly you were scammed, leave the game. Why would you stay in Entropia if you were scammed by Entropia? That is like falling for the fake pilot scam today... and signing up for another flight with that person again tomorrow.

My point was simply this: I had no delusions of striking it rich or even delusions that participating in EU would be fair. It is not fair and will never be. It is a casino with a fancy GUI. That is just my opinion, I am sure others have their own opinions as well. But the hunting, crafting, and mining portions are just like slot machines. If all the players won, casino's would be out of business quick. As each change has happened in EU, I try to read about it and analyze it a bit. Then I adjust my play. Try to see the changes to the mobs as this: there are now 6 Aces in the deck of cards, but only the dealer can draw them.

You speak of scamming? They can't scam you without YOUR help. You stated that you have not changed your hunting style recently. That is exactly what the dealer expects, dude. Just like professional gamblers watch a dealer at a table for hours to learn things about that dealer, MA watches us. If they detect that we, as a group, have figured out a way to beat the house, the rules will change. I don't blame them at all - it is a business and they are in it to make money. If they lose it all, they pull the plug and guess what... everyone is out all their gear and skills.

There is only a hand full of hunters that can kill AOA in Mod Pixi!
How long do you survive in your Mod Pixi vs. Spiders, Falx Stalkers, Dasp, Neconu Stalkers aso?

Damn, this is a very good Armor, if you don´t know for what it is used, better sell it!
There are a lot of hunters out there that want a Shadow set, to be able to do exactly that kind of Mobs !!!!
And they are willing to pay a real good price for such sets !!!!

Read above. Doing the same things for year without improving is poor management. It will kick you out of business.

Your metaphor fails here. It's not only YOUR team it's everyone so it is fair again since BOTH goals are moved 10 meters farther.

And in the time the goalkeeper is running to his new position you can make a nice goal (or in EU terms, in the time people are still figuring out how to benefit from changes you can take advantage of it)

If it were purely skill based I would concede, however I am playing against MA's system as much as I am playing against other avatars.

Have some mobs become much harder to kill, yes.

Have loots remained the same or worst, yes.


These I agree on.

But, for some reason, at least in some areas i.e. mining, I think skills are coming into play, at least for me. I'm finding stuff I have never found before and finding it quite often. I got a Ziplex TK320 OreSeeker and Ziplex Tik500 MatterSeeker and started mining before the last VU. Did not find any 'rare' ores except a bit of gold and such. But, since the last VU I have found...

Adomasite
Hansidian
Himi
Kirtz
Maganite
Petonium
Zanderium


And other ores that I had not found before, the only difference I can see is I unlocked Mineral Sense after the VU kicked in. Therefore, I am hoping that this VU at least allowed mining skills to play a part in the game. Now, if noobs are also finding the same stuff as I am with 101's then, I've got a problem, lol.

As for hunting, well, to be very frank, I'm only losing a bit more then I did hunting before the VU, but my hunting is I'm sure different than most, I mine and the mobs that get in the way, I hunt. I don't, for the most part, go to one area and just shot mobs. (on team hunts with society, yes I do). So, in that while I did kill Atrox Old Alpha before the VU and can still do so, (with a whole lot more fapping), they are not my normal 'prey'. No, I can't kill a spider or a Fax, but I don't hunt them either...

As for crafting....to me it sucks...now I only craft ZIP 25's for society mates and amps for me. I put all the ores I find into auction. I use to do quite a bit of crafting, but the return became unreal, 5 percent back on the tt value of a 500 ped crafting run, lol..


As for fun....well, it was much more fun when I first joined. Running around finding TP's, learning about what mobs were where, exploring a 'brand new' world. That fun has ended, but other types have kicked in, a kind of a challenge between MA and myself, i.e., not going to let her win, hanging out with my society mates and other friends I've made over the years, setting goals for myself, and trying to meet those goals. So, I keep at stuff that comes as close as possible to breaking even or even showing a bit of a profit...

My two cents..

I do this with phantom armour + 5B Plates, Maddox IV with beast, AS 114 with beast, Bravo with 104 amps and a 2600 FAP...
