Well, in a previous thread about this subject I compared killing an Atrax prowler in the old days to killing it nowadays. It was roughly 8 PED in the old days, and about 5 ped nowadays (see post). So things have certainly not become more expensive.

But I hear ya, and I sympathize. The game has become quite boring, and MA making it even more tedious by upping the regen on some of the mobs does nothing to increase the fun factor.

As far as loot goes, I guess it's been fairly mediocre lately, but I don't dwell on it much. I've personally found a subscription-based MMORPG thet I have a ball with and it doesn't cost me anything compared to EU. I still play EU, but not nearly as much as 6 months ago.

Like a lot of ppl, I'm really waiting to see what happens with all of the new planets and crap they've been promising. Really don't care much for pretty flowers and enormous new buildings that we have to run through to get anywhere. Really hoping that there is more substance than the snapshots show.

Maybe we'll all get lucky and they'll release some new Mega-ESIs.

When mining at the rig, and an old alpha ATROX gets in the way, it now cost me much more to kill it with my outfit (phathom, maddox IV, beast, FAP 2600) vs. before.

It is simple, the number of hits to kill it is at least twice as much, the cost to use the FAP is about twice as much, the decay to my armor is twice as much.

I see a ATROX prowler, I go the other way; now, for an ATRAX prowler, no clue, don't run into many, and they don't regen like the ATROX do. Also, perhaps your outfit is more eco then mine. Don't know, can just speak for how it has been for me.

That's to easy I would say. I don't play EU to collect items or skills. For me its mainly the RCE that got me. I wouldn't play EU if there is no real cash involved and I like the combination of a background story with money.

However, doing business in EU is too time consuming (refilling shopkeepers, looking for customers, using the auction) and the multiple taxing thing (by for tax, sell for tax) was a bad idea. Gameplay has developed, but I doubt that the economy has (see the banks for example or the malls). Economy depends also on what we do ingame and I guess we have to develop this as well.

All Avatars are equal , but some are more equal than others.

My 'investment' as some people put it is worth nothing. I don't think i could get back even 30% of what I put into the game.

Needless to say I have been careful with what I do with my peds and have always looked after each pec, but my avatar is simply unlucky.

I explained this to MA and asked why I was treat differently, got the usual 'dynamic' bullshit and was told to get higher skills and use better items,

After doubling my skills and using items which I would class as much better than before (including large amps and L sib items) I can only conclude that MA likes to pick certain avatars to be 'lucky' and some avatars which pay for the 'lucky' ones to be 'lucky'

At which point I decided to invest no further in the game, after losing 1k peds on one particular mob, only to see the same mob global and HOF several times shortly after I stopped.

Mindark will never see another penny of money.

The atrox is a mob that has changed, and so has its loot. So the higher cost to kill it, directly translate into more loot. If you had to kill the current atrox in the old days the cost would be much higher. Infact, its unlikely you would be able to kill it at all.

Sorry to say, but this is just selfpitty. It cant possibly yourself that does something wrong so it must be someone or something else. The fact you need to put 1k PED into a mob to figure out its not the right mob to hunt at that moment sais enough though. I can also lose 10k ped in a week if I play EU like that. But I play it differently so I dont.

Nah its not Self Pity... It's just being pissed off... and there's nothing wrong with being pissed off... as you'll know urself from this forum, theres a lot of pissed off people in EU at the moment.

Sorry that came accross wrong, I didnt put 1k in one one hunt, was over a series of hunts. If i'd have done that in one hunt then you'd be right... but I didnt.

If there realy was a system like you discribe, it would indeed piss allot of people off. Thats why I dont believe it exists. You can considder me one of the "lucky" avatars, but IMO it is a direct result of my approach. I tried different approaches too and many of those had similar results as you have. Infact, I have been in exactly your position to leave the game. I swore I would never deposit again, and burn all my peds, then quit. Well, I kept my word to the first part, but failed misserably in the second and third .
