This answers you bringng another thread to this one re: a particular avatar's harassment of me and others by abusing the functions to cause an effect not intended.

It also answers any question on whether spamming the general (communications) channel is actually against the EULA, IT IS. There was a channel provided for the purpose of spamming trades to stop this happening.

It does not say anywhere in the EULA that I cannot ask for a trade ban on a person breaking the EULA in this way.

That being said.. yes, every other MMO has an ignore function and I don't see why MA doesn't. Trade channels are doomed to fail.. All the spamers know people just ignore it so ofc they are going to spam in general chat.

I thought the OP post was about misuse of chat channels and ways to counter it, and Morbid was just trolling about something else. But then again i could be wrong and all has been written in some Shona African riddle language..

As for Rayne i don't know her ingame, but her opening post was a request for opinions. I replied and said i thought a boycott was to much and that that possibility to ignore chat from avatars was the best option IMO.
As for trade spam, it doesn't bother me - if i don't want to read it i switch both channels off and chat in PM.

I intend to sell.. therefore i advertise... thats nto a eula breach.. the chat systems there to be use... i use it as intended.

If u want to get technical rayne and take ti literally... everyone using the trade channel si therefore breaking the eula.... since they are spamming just in a different window.

It is a little bit more than "just a post about misuse of chat channels", she was asking the community to force others to use specific channels.

As i see it, the chat channels are an optional thing to use, nice if you stick to trade channel if you're advertising your business or offer stuff.
Not using it may be bad style, but nothing to be executed for.

Yes I speak some Shona, Tonga, and a splattering of other tribal languages .

Yep fair play, about chat channels - as i have said they don't really bother me, if they get annoying i switch them all off (then get accused of botting jk ).

Yep twin is Spam central, as for previous encounters i think you might be holding some kind of grudge - may i suggest a massage and long walks in the great weather - lifes to short.
