Entropia Universe Ambassadors

I'm kinda intrigued as to which RL event you have applied to become an ambassador at, Rayne.

The only Australian one I've seen so far is the Perth GO3 convention in August this year, and MA have already selected the Ambassadors for that one.

Serica I am currently researching conventions in Australia from what I have seen so far there are others I am just waiting on Forum registration emails.

When I find them if you wish to know about them I will let you know.

This reply alone says Australia is lacking exposure in the mmorpg world or lack of exposure of mmorpg to Australia, which should be addressed and what better platform to use than Entropia??

Also MA need to realise that Ambassadors are not just for conventions in their part of the World.

Do we have an Australia Amassador representing MA in Australia actively looking for conventions of different kinds in Australia that are suited to having a MA representative there?

Non related Websites like facebook, My Space, Windows Live all have profiles and pic upload facilities and area where you can chat and be asked questions.

That is just an example of how someone can be an Ambassador for MA, then include actively looking for and attending as a representative conventions that you have found via that type of networking.

I honestly don't know how I became an Ambassador for EU

Might have something to do with all the newbs I help (when I can) and the people I've drawn to the "game".

I do on occasion post about EU on my blog here and my other blogs I have. I'm often not afraid to speak my mind, so the language may not be what you expect

I've even made a few videos, which are available on Youtube. Though not as many as some friends of mine

If you find anything of decent size (similar to GO3, with a focus on games or a subsection for gaming rather than just a general show) then please let Justin and David at MindArk know, and me too if you feel like it.

In Australia there has been some prior exposure through the media when I purchased Treasure Island. I am currently looking at ways of building on that to boost Entropias awareness here and our pressence at GO3 is just the start

None officially, though I guess I fill the role of "MA Aussie Assistant" unofficially. Up until now that has only involved dealing with the media (either local or overseas) interested in Entropia and what I do within it.
For some time now (basically the past two years) I've wanted to do more to promote Entropia here though, but it's only been relatively recently that I've had enough time to actually work on it.

None officially, though I guess I fill the role of "MA Aussie Assistant" unofficially. Up until now that has only involved dealing with the media (either local or overseas) interested in Entropia and what I do within it.

Thanks for that input Deathifier, as the old saying goes 2 heads are better than one. I would appreciate a more live chat with you and the chance for us both to throw some ideas around. If you have msn pls pm me your contact to add. Then we can get together there and see what we can cook up .

It would be good to have 2 Aussie Ambassadors working together and if we can get something going here Mindark may consider us both for Australian Ambassadorship officially.

"Ambassador" is an appropriate term MA chose for th is. We literally IRL to certain locations to help people understand more about this universe of ours.

Currently, the only "official" function I'm aware of for the Ambassadors (of which, I am one) is to participate at conventions/exhibits where MA is showcasing this universe. We're there to greet the crowd, share our stoires and "spread the gospel" so to speak. (It's quite a lot of hard work, actually, but some of the most fun you'll ever associate w/ this universe.)

However, the Original Ambassadors were actually hand-picked before Justin got rolling hard-core on the conventions.

Kjetil, Skam and Skalman were among the original Ambassadors I believe. (Historical link here.)

Being an Ambassador isn't special at all. It simply means that MA has asked you to help out or has accepted your desire to help.

You want to be an Ambassador? You want to help bring more folks to this great universe? Talk to you friends. Let them know exactly what Entropia is (yes, the good and the bad. Always be honest w/ your friends.) Offer to help them get started if they show a desire to check it out.

The conventions are great for mass exposure, but true one-on-one exposure is also very important. (Folks like YourMom and many others here found their way into this universe via friends/family.)

Don't get me wrong, Deathifier is completely correct. If you're aware of a convention/exhibit that MA might be interested in, please pass that information along. (Especially any close to Las Vegas .)

But you can spread the word in your home town just as well.
