Sorry to hear about this. I have actually gotten to the point of taking screenies of my TT confirmation screen just in case of that occasional glitch MA seems to never track down which magically transports items into the TT you did not want to sell. Just another piece of advice if you are selling a low level FAP to the tt make sure to equip your main FAP before hitting the confirm.
Maybe CE2 will add some variation to different types of items in EU so at least visually you can tell the difference. I also agree that items need to have some sort of lock to prevent accidents it would save MA alot in support cases plus if you tt and did not lock your item then its really your fault and not some glitch or identical looking item getting tted. Ahhh well some day maybe they will catch on. ![]() |

last self ownage was selling my QR97 BSM bp on auction for +1ped.. along with couple of dozen worthless bp-s..
I borrowed it to friend before and after getting it back had to log off.. and later forgot to insert it back into book at least it wasnt big loss and I didnt need it any more anyway |

i agree with Mega - there should be a locking mechanism to prevent trading and selling of items.
there are a lot of issues with items in EU. first, the fact that many items use the same graphic increases the chance of accidently TTing an item. second, at times lag has caused some goofy behavior with moving things around. last, the fact that some items have names so similar that only 1 or 2 letters distinguish one item from another. For example, there is huge difference in value between a MKII and a MKIII. with all this a simple mechanism to allow us to 'right click - item - lock item' would solve a lot of issues. in the end we do not want MA to babysit us. only to give us the tools so we can babysit ourselves. |

I know what you mean. I have never tt'd anything in error either.
However, should you ever make this error I am sure you will change your mind. ![]() Personally, I think MA could make the system a little more forgiving, and be a little more flexible themselves.. Microsoft recognize the fact that PC users can & do delete files in error, and programmed in the recycle bin for exactly the situation here. It's for when someone throws away something they did not mean to. The "confirm window" is fine, but if you TT loads of stuff, it becomes hard to spot the error in the dross. They could limit it to 10 items in the tt at a time. (Then it would take forever to get rid of stuff) I personally would like the TT to remember the last items I tt'd, with a time limit of "last seven days". Then I have 7 days, to buy back stuff. But MA don't do this as it costs them money to program, and gains them nothing in return. SO, a simply solution is that to "buy back" an item you tt'd in error costs 10% of the items MAX TT value, regardless as to the items value at time of tt'ing, with a minimum charge of 100 peds, plus the value of the item at time of tt'ing. So you TT an item at 1 ped TT, that has a max value of 9 peds, it costs you 101 peds to buy it back. Then no support cases needed, as you can get it back if you want, but it costs a handling charge of 100 peds/10% whichever is the greater, and you have plenty of time to rectify your error. No, i don't need my hand held, realise it's my own fault if I do it, but think MA could be a bit more "compassionate" when people do. I know there are those who regard people who make this error as "retards" but anyone who says they never make mistakes are either lying or never do anything at all (then they can't do it wrong.) |

I really do love the TT thing now though - because it makes everyone accountable for their own actions.
