i do sympathise. the balance of large loot values to skills or mob/ore level is something MA needs to address. i have logged off in disgust many a time seeing a argo young or drone gen02 cough up 10k - even when im doing OK it doesnt sit well. some say thats the nature of statistics, i say if thats the case where are the 200k+ hoggs or aurli? there is a clear bias towards larger proportional loots within the lower end that must be engineered into the system deliberatly, it needs to be fixed. more, smaller hofs and globals is what everyone wants rather than a couple of 10, 20, 40k payouts every day. newbies getting them is just kicking us in the nuts.

I feel the same way, but I figure I will just go semi inactive till the Crytec update. I would suggest this instead of quitting, since it would be a shame to not see what all your money is going.

I've always been part of the people who hated the big ATHs. I think loot should be spread out to make better returns overall. I don't know why MA would want to make 1 person happy when they could make 100s of happier customers. But, if that's the way they want to balance things, the option of staying or leaving is always there .

thats just it, this is nothing to do with MAs revenue, they are getting theirs very nicely. we see where the money goes, paying for others to get a big hit.

I agree, these sort of threads are a shame to read but in the same token they are very discourageing to others who are still enjoying the game...

What about all those entropians out there who have never deposited, and choose not to deposit, wheres their global?

I enjoy this game for being what it is, if I expect too much im guaranteed to be disapointed...

Try doing what others do.... Stop playing for a while, go play counter strike or something in a few weeks youll probably be back wishing you never left, but thats just my opinion, thre may be other circumtances I or we dont know about, but if everybody where to global, hof or ath then no one will.

And yes, i know exactly how you feel. All the recent big ATHs in mining (120k zinc, 76k lyst) went to complete noobs, who are not even on ET's top100 of miners. And now this. 10k and 40k to a comparative noob miner (~46 intelligence iirc), when me with almost 56 intellingence (and many others) can't even get their first freaking tower Let alone towers, i can't even get a decent uber, only two 1k+ claims in mining despite tens of thousands (if not hundreds) of bombs/probes droped with big amps.

One of the worst effects such events have is that they totally DEMOTIVATE to play EU. This evening i logged in to do some cnd mining, and then i saw the HoF table... i was so disgusted and appaled that i just logged out and spend the rest of evening browsing forums.. MA is just making 1 noob happy and pushing away hundreds of real participants.

I understand that noobs can (and should) score some nice hofs from time to time, but not 75% of ATHs and leave the veteran players paying for all of that. System needs to somehow reward efforts, time spent and etc. spent.. whereas it is rewarding noobiness
