I noticed this last night too, Checked a pair in our shop and saw the "unusual" daily markup. I left em at +3 though lol


I wouldnt call it market manipulation, more than likely someone was being silly, or owed a friend money who was on cp or such and had the guy list a useless item on auction for the amount they needed.

Although if more pairs sell for that price I may have to reconsider the +3

Lol whoever did the manipulation was blatantly dumb, or doing it for a laugh... If they made it just a little more expensive then people probably wouldn't notice. As they cranked the price up sky high, nobody in their right mind would ever buy a set for that price.

All it's done is made most of the data on that item useless.

I get the feeling that some more normalisation is required on the market rates, just to account for the halfwits who do this type of thing. They're not raising the market rates of the items, they're just destroying a useful tool in the game.

I think for this reason it possibly is a violation of the EULA. I'd find out who's doing it and put in a support ticket. MA are at least alterted to it then, so if the same person keeps doing it they should hopefully be dealt with.

This is most likely the reason... a transfer of PED between two people that could not meet up ingame OR transfer between two avatars controled by the same person. It is unfortunate they chose Gremlin Arms... but choosing any item would alter the sales history.

Agreed again on the transfer and also the other part. The market is the way MA wants it. If it was anything else, they would change it trust me on that. If you doubt that, feel free to browse through the VU listings in this forum and you will see the tweaks and changes over the years. We are forced to participate in this market once we log in. I don´t care, no matter its manipulation attempt or money transfer. To much of that parts sell slightly above TT value and that will regulate the price history down again.

You can´t make a common drop valuable by just selling it one or two times far overpriced to a friend or an illegal second avatar.
The history graph still shows whats the common markup on that item, that peak doesn´t change a thing.
