i recon its obvious that people with money out there and people that aint trust worthy, they are going to exploit the market by puting a item on the market for a high price and have another ava, eachange some peds over to and and just hit buyout.

these will most likely be resellers that have a lot of this item so they will slowly feed them onto the auction and noone will know, kinda obvious realy all the normal players will put them on at the high price and the market minipulators/exploiters will put them on a lot lower but a lot higher than they are worth.

there you go all the people that bought them at the higher price got screwed and that is a violation of the EULA

About a month after the graph had been in game I accidently clicked on my TT extractor and it said it was worth over 500 ped (if I remeber right, I know it was way over the 2 ped its worth).

I've seen these strange markup prices before, but there's one thing I don't understand.

Even if it is a transaction between two players that cannot meet up ingame, it doesn't make much sense. I don't know it works with shops, but if you sell your item via the ingame auction you automatically lose 5% of it's markup to MA when it's sold.

Take the data from the screenie: 27 sales at an avarage of tt+2819 peds. This means that on that day MA recieved (2819*27)*5% = 3805 peds in auction fees for the Gremlin male arms alone.

Mind boggling imho. Or am I making a mistake here?

Definately agree... I think the biggest concern (at least to me) is the uneducated people of EU. I don't mean stupid, just those that don't fully understand what that graph means, or maybe they are one-week old newbs. It is those people that might actually pay TT+700 (example) if they see it in the next few days. A price like that might get those people thinking "WOW that must be great armor!!" Those are the people I hope threads like this one protect

No thats wrong.
Lets say 26 are sold at average of +5 PED, thats 26*5*0.05 = 6.50 PED fee paid on regular sales.
1 sale was a moneytrade between two players, that must have been around +380435 PED, to get this + 2819 PED average price. This one money transfer produces only 100 PED fee, what is maximum fee for any auction.

Total fee MA collected in that case is 106,50 PED.

Another scenario, is the market manipulator.
He sold several times from one avatar to another.
If he is extremly stupid, he did 25-26 trades at +3000 PED (I asume one or two was a regular sale at normal markup). Then it is 26 * 100 PED fee + some peanuts from regular sale, around 2600 PED fee for MA.
Very unlikely the manipulator did it this way, as it is far to expencive. One insane sale can do that job.
Maybe he sold only 2 or 3 times at a higher price, each for 100 PED fee.
Imho MA got less than 500 PED in auction fee that day from gremlin arms sales.
