He said if everyone updates often. So if both you and the person you traded with updated sometime after the trade then you would have your inventory - a fap50 and the person you traded with would have a his inventory + a fap50. If everyone did update often, then numbers would be more or less correct. At least some almost correct data would be better than none at all.

Hmmm... Check last month on EF looking for hacked accounts threads. Then return and say that EU comunity is bunch of paranoics. I'm simply not willing to sacrifice 3 years of skilling and gathering stuff just like that. I have GC, yes, but there is no security system that can't be broken. there is no harm in copy-pasting your inventory listing from the "My Items" section into any web application. there are dozens of web-based inventory calculators around there and nobody has complained yet, specially where you can be completely anonymous, and don't reveal even your avatar name, or anything.

now, the real usefulness of this app, well... as pointed out before, is really hard to keep accurate track of items changing daily from hand to hand; but as a curiosity, it can be a nice app if enough people get to use it.

Getget I have thought of this as well and the easiest solution to code for is what I've setup. Each time you copy your inventory into the database the previous one is deleted. Therefore if someone trades an item with another person it will be removed from your list and added to theirs the next time you update your inventories. I guess what I'm saying is if everyone updates their inventories often we will have a pretty acturate picture of the number of items in-game.

The only reason I ask that your username be your full Entropia Universe avatar name is to prevent duplicate accounts or fake ones by market manipulators. The names will always be kept anonymous to the public.

there's being safe, then there's being paranoid

it is completely anonymous - no way anybody can link the items to anything except your avatar name (if you choose to supply your actual avatar name) - and even then, your avatar name shouldn't be the same as your login username, so what's the big deal?

as stated above, people knowing your avatar name doesn't mean squat - this info will not help them with hacking your account - are you on the phone now with MindArk telling them to stop displaying your avatar name to everyone when you global?

Hmm I cant see why someone would shit in their pants to post a inventory dump on any site. I mean wtf is someone going to go "hay look he has a bravo". It doesnt matter if you paste your inventory all over the web no one will be able to take something out of your inventory. Perhaps those that is freaking out about posting their inventory is also those that hord up stuff and resell later when there is a big shortage of that item so they want to cover up that they own 20 bravos.

I think its a great idea but you chose the wrong place and time to post this, EF is full of immature idiots that well think like idiots do and destroy every idea they don't understand and didn't think off them selfs. I posted a few ideas on EF and on a few other forums and the results wore crystal clear that EF was the only place that had mostly negative and immature posts about something they didn't understand or couldn't see the bigger picture off. On all the other forums ppl asked to clarify stuff they don't understand before they said its good idea or bad idea. On EF ppl will say it will not work and defend their statment while on the other forums ppl will say it wont work because of this or that and then try and find a way to make it work. EF is to full of Destructive criticism instead of constructive. So in short post your ideas on other forums till the bugs and kinks is worked out before posting it here
