EU Inventory Database

This is sort of self explanatory.

Register, Copy Inventory from EntropiaUniverse.com, and Check out the current statistics for any item in the database.

Still under development, but I'm interested in what you guys think. Open registration, no email verification, and secure database. Adding features when I have time.

I seem to be stuck at step one, "register". The only links I can find are 'Add', 'View', and 'Login'. I can view, but 'add' leads to a warning that you must be logged in.

How do you register to add items?

Not willing to post my items anywhere. Not mentioning entering My Section on EU web site with any unknown stuff running in the background. Database security is only your word, don't know you either ingame or irl. Stats I can check on Entropedia, so what's the purpose of your software actually?

I must apologize for my rush to make this thread and I can understand your suspicions.

My name is Justin William Holz and my entropia avatar is William Napoleon Holz for those of you who cant read it to the right.

I am currently a member of The Chosen Few and am attending a summer camp at Humboldt University. Since I can't play Entropia atm I decided to work on this little project I've been thinking of for quite a while.

Basically its a website where users can copy their inventories from the Entropia Universe website into a secure database where we can at the moment create a tally of the total items in game for things such as rare armors and common commodities. Eventually with users updating their inventories regularly we could track drop rates and other such statistics to a certain degree.

The sites coded using php and as soon as I fix any bugs that popup I'll probably make it open-source since I would love to contribute to the community.

Well if your afraid of testing my website with your My Section open then their is a way around this.

Simply copy your inventory, Close the page, and then try out my site.

Well I guess you could point to just about any piece of code and say that I can't prove its secure. All I know is that secure data such as passwords are encrypted using SHA1 which is a one-way algorithm so even if someone were to somehow gain access to read the database they still would have practically useless data without a super computer. I even recommend on the site that you don't use the same password as your Entropia Universe account.

Well i must agree Entropedia is wonderful. I use it all the time. My stats are up 2 date btw. (Just broke 80k skills

) Anyways what Entropedia doesnt allow you to do is see how many items are in the hands of Avatars. All my site does is record the name of the item, the TT value, and the quantity. Eventually I hope to be able to attempt to track drop rates.

Its all good Dr. DC, I'm doing this for the general EU community, and because I'm bored. Even if you don't add to the database you could still check out the statistics if you choose.

Sorry but there's no way I'm uploading my inventory details to a public database. I don't think you'll find many people prepared to do that.

if i use your site and register my fap50 (for instance) ...
Then i sell it to someone
This person use your site and register again the same FAP50 ...
Then sell it ... and so on ...

How can you manage those kind of feature?? not sure there is a way to avoid counting an item several time ... and because of that, data won't be realistic!

I'm sorry, I'm not understanding something. I haven't checked out the site yet, but if I understand what you say it tracks correctly, it's virtually anonymous and just tally's total items?

If this is the case, why are people so protective of their inventories? I have a full set of Ghost with 5b's which I wear all the time...but shhh don't tell anyone!
