I know some ppl who disable all channels except the skill channel to track down skills. Those ppl reply only to PM's.

But usually you would rather turn your damn chat on if someone blocked you for example? Or you still would prefer not to interact with someone who blocks your path? Just walk into that person trying to push him or her away, huh? Or if someone kills falx you are trying to run into? Or it's still not enough to say a word?

Four of us my soc were out there the other day and we saw them. If that is how someone wishes to spend their time, so be it. It was not affecting us in anyway. We saw what was going on and wisely went in another direction to avoid aggro.

I am not "pro-bot" but to be honest this seems harmless imo.

No it is not harmless Jade, sorry, can't agree with you. All other ppl have to either spend their time online and do the same thing manually or spend peds on skill implants. There are two values in EU: time and money and they are replacable one by each other. Someone using bots has advatage over all ppl trying to be honest. This is 1st thing. They get peds without spending their time online. And if you ever deposited or burned anything in lootpool even without depositing, it's your peds too. Someone has to pay for withdrawal of peds gained by bots. Or for peds gained thanks to that skills.
Second is that it is violation of EULA. And even if EULA is not perfect, it's the only law we have in EU and thus has to be respected and the ones who do not respect it should be simply banned. I'm not the law loving person, but EULA is there not for MA only, but for all participants as well. So any action against EULA is action against us all. If MA introduces offline skilling ingame, it's different thing. But until they do it, all bots should be banned. Simply as that.

Good points... I can see where some would say that they are making money for nothing. The EULA would be a lot more impressive to me if MA had some sort of architecture in place to detect bots without us filing support cases. As you said it is the only law we have in EU... don't you think it should be more vigiliant? I don't know what the detection method would be... Is there a way to detect human interaction with EU instead of a macro? It has the potential to hurt us all, but in most of the cases I have seen here on EF the evidence is flimsy at best. There are possible explanations for why the avatar was doing what it was doing. They may not make sense to the "normal" player, but they don't have to.
