If MA makes it somehow that it can`t be exploited(ppl making lots of accounts than withdrawing the free ped), would be pretty cool idea. A special server with no real cash economy would be also good idea I think, so that people can try out the big guns, big mobs and get a feeling how it`s like to hof big, making them thinking "ohh, if only had I played for real" when getting a hof. (MA has such testing instances at gaming conventions for new players to check out Entropia, why not make it available for everyone).

What will Nexus be used for? Your solution kind of takes the aspect of working for your tools, guns, ammo most sweaters strive for.

Like I have said in other posts, even for $5 I would have never tried this game. MA needs the "free to play" concept in place as they care less about deposits and more about keeping people in game decaying stuff. That is how they get paid and don't care if Sammy Sweater gets his ped by deposit or by selling sweat to someone that has. The bottom line for MA is decay. Sweaters keep the MF chips for everyone charged up and decaying two items at a time. Pure genious.

also you want to give too much for what it'd cost...ppl were making multiple avatars TO SWEAT when there was a cap. i'm pretty sure they'd be plenty of new ava's just to collect the extra TT on all that and exploit that offer. so nah definitely not good

Definately, a good idea, there are too much people, strolling around paying for nothing, looting too much upmark and tt.

It could benefit us all, and the scammers will be less because they will have to pay to scam.

At least with EU you have a CHANCE at some uber loots as a noob, many other MMORPGs I've played you need to be uber to loot uber.

I bet there is a reason why MA quit the idea of giving starting gear in the past (if I remmber well, there was period when avas received some starting stuff).
Sweating is not that bad itself, it's social activity, helps to meet new people, learn the controls and buy some tt stuff without depositing. Yes, it's not easy but if someone goes through sweating and manages to get tools he needs for it, probably will stay ingame and eventually deposit. If there was 5$ starting fee, many of good players wouldn't be around. I would not be here either as when I started EU I couldn't depo and there were alternative games I could play.
Ah, and scammers would exist anyway. What's 5$ if they could scam 10 newbies from their sweat even and get that 5$ back? Scammers will always be there unless MA starts some anti scamming policy that actually works.

Sweating mobs is hardly "trying the game". If that`s the game, the game sucks bigtime. If this is the idea the newcomers get, ofc they deal the game in early stage.
