Vote for Entropia by using Xfire

I`ve seen during last year lots of threads encouraging people to vote for Entropia on various MMO related websites. End result of Entropia getting good ratings will benefit us all, as more players join, more value is added to any valuables we own. On top of that would secure future of platform for many years to come.
I see however that people neglect the importance of Xfire in setting up good marketing ratings and coverage for Entropia. I even heard lots of negative comments from some people, that were totally against using Xfire and suggested to others against using it. It is pretty clear that MA considers Xfire as very important marketing tool and tried to encourage people to use it several times by creating events and such.
Entropia atm is rated no 112 in Xfire top of most played games. http://www.xfire.com/games/euni/Entropia_Universe/
If most of the active players install Xfire I think we can all improve this rating a lot. On 2008-02-04 Entropia made it to top 50, 48th place. Let`s all and try get it back there, maybe in top 10 even.

To those not yet convinced of using it, let me mention a few benefits:
1. You can chat with friends using Xfire while playing in fullscreen mode, even with ones playing different games.
2. You can make screenshots and videos and upload them to Xfire Server so everyone could check them out should they desire to do so, if your privacy options are set to public.
3. You get a fps counter and clock.
4. You can get unlimited slots in FriendList by joining Entropia Clan and be able to communicate with all of the Entropia Xfire users.
5. You can have a soc clan and stay in touch with all soc members, even though they might not be ingame, you also get a clan forum for free.
6. You get your own blog should you wish to use one.
7. You can always see what games your friends are playing and even on which server they play, along with various ingame stats on the multiple of Xfire supported games.
8. Support for Logitech G15 keyboard, chat with friends shows up on the LCD of the keyboard.
9. Different MA and Xfire organized events where you can win Entropia related prized.
10.Very good quality voice chat, conference mode also with 3 bandwith quality settings.
11. Supports video broadcast.(not really sure how can be used, but sounds cool
12.Support for file sharing.
13. Weekly updates for improved compatibility, new features and support.
14. Other stuff that doesn `t come to mind atm.

If I managed to sound somewhat convincing, get Xfire from http://www.xfire.com/downloads/ and join official Entropia clan at http://www.xfire.com/clans/officialentropia1 Let`s get Entropia back into top 50 again.

It's not buggy. Used it for 3 years and not had any problems what so ever

I quit trying, emailed with issues that were not on their forum or faq and was not able to get any assistance.

Thought it would be something worth using, but support has been poor.

With ya on this one, been using it for almost FIVE years, and no problems other than a simple router problem (accidentally turned on port BLOCKING, instead of forwarding, lol!).

Let me make a suggestion - someone make a "Problems with Xfire... post here for help" thread (keep it CLEAN) and those Xfire veterans amongst us can see about helping ya'all getting it up & running.

You can see in my profile now that I've changed from CS being my most played game, to EU being my most played game lol. Would be nearly triple that time, if Xfire had integrated with EU when I first joined ~2.5 years ago, instead of only about a year or so ago!

To those who wonder why any effort should be made on this front, here's why:
1. Xfire has over 11 million registered users, of which there are regularly ~200k online at any time.
2. On their front page, it lists "Todays top games", the top 10 most logged games on Xfire. For obvious reasons, the current #1 game listed there hasn't budged for quite a few months *laugh*.
3. IF we were, somehow, to get EU listed in the top 10 games, for even a few days, a LOT of Xfire users would go "Hmm, what's THIS game? Never heard of it before!" *clicks link, joins EU, the rest is history*

You never know what may come of that. EU is going to grow, no ifs' ands' or buts' about it. The best thing we can do is to help the growth rate, because face it - the more noobs there are, the more decay is being pumped, and the better the loots *can* be... for those who know how & when to get it .

(p.s. - want more hours over-all added? Get your 'long-run' crafter friends to get xfire )

Thanks for your output Naverith. You`ve highlighted some very good points.

I`ll update weekly in this thread Entropia`s Xfire ranking to keep eye on the progress.

Current ranking: 111, jumped up 1 place since yesterday.

Sorry boys, not going to use it again..
I had it for a few months.. I guess it's an OK program but the my problem is that a very few % of my total online friends uses it and won't be convinced of using it when we have other programs that have the things we need to communicate.. so i'm out of the loop on this one.. but hey, any vote I can give to get entropia to #1, you have it!

You can just use it for screengrabber,video recorder,ingame clock and fps counter, doesn `t have to be for communication purposes also. Doesn `t take up much RAM , you can just let it run in the background and vote for Entropia to no1.

Been using xfire for almost 5 years the only real problem ive ever found is where it'd crash one particular game when it updated wich only lasted for about a week. If you consider yourself a multiplayer gamer you should get it.
