New PvP League, could use a staff.

Im planning on making a non-profit PvP league. Its purpose is to give PvP areas a new purpose in PE. Who says we need to wait for LG's to have nice PvP wars???

Im planning on having a 1vs1 league and a team league (still deciding on the amount of people per team). People will fight in basic deathmatch/teamdeathmatch formats and possibly some objective based fights (we'll see how things turn out).

Im also planning on a skill brackets. To make it fun/fair for everyone teams will be split into brackets. Brackets will be decided after a few matches have been fought to see who goes into higher brackets (obviously people in Eon armor with Ml-45's aren't going to be against people in rascal...unless that team in rascal is really good )

This is all just an idea for now, but I could really use some support forming this, setting up and running the whole league. Like I mentioned before this is non-profit so Im not making league fees and stuff like that cause this is ment to be fun for everyone.

Just a few questions:
Will you hold like "league events" on pre determined dates?
How will you keep score and how will score be determined?
Who will be judges?
Will there be a prize for the "ultimate champion" in each class?
Is there a maximum number of contestents?
Is a certain class determined by equipment alone or do skills matter as well?

Very good idea althou one thing comes to my mind. Would this in/de.crease the pk:ing around RT´s , TP´s & appartment areas?
If this encourages in a decrease I could volunteer to help in any way I can. I understand that P´k:ing is a part of the game but for me personally it is annoying as hell when I am minding my own business & get Pk:ed in those areas.

I will probably designate areas for the matches. Everything is still in the basic design phase but everything will be worked out. We could use all the staff we could get (Degnyx and I spoke in game looks like he's on board also). I have a ventrilo server, gonna try and get the staff to get on it (once we get a staff ). I'll add you to the list, probably gonna schedule some meetins sooner or later.

Some good ideas, a society V soviety round would be good so that non uber socetys can go against each other.

Yea im looking into a few areas for possible use. One thing I think I would really like to do, is make the playoffs/championship in PvP3 (You need to be a step above the rest to be in the championship so why not have it in a PvP area above the rest ) Im gonna look into getting MindArk to something about this on the news section of there website/client loader, can't hurt to ask

Sounds like fun. I need to practise my PvP skills though hehe... I'm using a rather heavy crappy mouse and it's just not shaped for quick use at all Maybe I'd be better grabbing a new mouse for PK

Ive played years of Counter-Strike and Call of Duty, best mouse is one thats optical WITH a cord (main reason for a cord is, if your in PvP or any other game with a cordless mouse, and the battery dies out, your basically dead...)

It seems like we have 5 people on staff now. Not 100% on everyone, but it seems like they are all into it. Im going to be getting an IRC channel very soon once I decide on a name. I was thinking along the lines of "Calypso Gladiator Arena". The main reason for this is if you read about Chronicle armor it mentions Gladiators and gives a brief history.
