An ultimatum for Mind Ark

Foreword:
In light of recent 'additions' to the game, I have decided to propose an ultimatum. I do not expect others to follow as many are very reliant on this game but I will devote myself 100% to this ultimatum.

Demand
-Remove the clothing / armor taxation for wearing by the next VU
-Cease continuing such unethical business practices in future updates

Consequence if demand is not met
-I will withdraw all funds I have invested in Project Entropia / Entropia Universe
-I will warn others of the piss poor business practices of Mind Ark when appropriate

Reasoning behind this ultimatum
I have begun playing since early beta (Yes, the closed beta) and have since only seen Mind Ark decide to take more and more from the player base. This did not bother me too much because often, the reason behind the cost increase was reasonably justified.

For example, making powerful amps unusable on weak weapons. Of course this cost the 'eco' hunters more money, but the decision behind it is also logical. This encourages people to use the higher end weapons they've created and realistically, you would probably not be able to amplify a weapon as much as people have done without wrecking the gun.

Another example is the increase auction house fees. Although it does usually cost more to auction an item, there is some compromise. Cheaper items will also cost slightly less than before to auction.

What they have done now is crossing the line. They add another cost to the game, unjustifiably. Charging people money for changing their clothing or armor does nothing to reduce lag as they claim was their intention. In fact, they could have specified that the 2 PEC cost would be recirculated into the loot. However, they specified that it was in fact decay which we all know goes into Mind Ark's pockets.

I know for a fact that most of the players who claim they'll quit soon, never quit. This is because they are so infatuated with their 'virtual life' that they will let things like this slide. Mind Ark has been able to continue increasing costs because of this.

Sure, they can ignore my demand because it is in fact a demand. They'll lose my business and hopefully the business of many of you. If you want to bend over for Mind Ark, by all means.

Vote with your wallet people. There are other games managed by companies with the morals of saints in comparison to Mind Ark. Feel free to sign below if you are willing to commit to this. Keep in mind that they will likely not meet the demands mentioned here.

I think I'll renew my Lineage II subscription.

The point of my post is that because the community lets things like this go, they will continue to do it. Its not unreasonable to think that they'll eventually tax us for walking.

Imagine this:
-If you are wearing shoes, they will decay as you move
-If you are not wearing shoes, you either run slower, take damage for moving on unpaved terrain, or lose accuracy (Can't stand firmly).

Don't humour me for having the balls to do something that the majority of the EU community can't do. My stance on this benefits you, and the rest of the EU community--Even if I quit.

I think you're being rather generous here. Given the level of opposition, I will be very angry if the tax is not removed by next week.

I applaud your stance and I am likely to be following your example. I am waiting to hear MA's response to the complaints. If there is not one, I will be leaving. If there is, I will base my decision on the outcome.

You're absolutely right that this is setting a new and unacceptable precedent. I would add that the foot armour introduction is equally repugnant in terms of the precedent it sets. What will be the next piece that we need to add?

I think MindArk underestimates how many potential customers can we scare off if they dont abolish the ripoff tax. I frequent many more internet forums than EF and I will let everyone know if and why I quit.

Yeah...but I've been here for two years and this is the most "piss" I've seen.

It will blow over, sure, but who will be left? The people that can tolerate this activity. This is not the first time MA has done soemthing like this, but I'm done worrying about it. I think many are done, too. I've had enough. I can't look forward to every VU that has teased us with the improvements, but has negelected to tell us the BAD things.

Bad news seems to come with every VU..and I'm tired of it. Not fun. Not worth my time. Even my friendships can't keep me here. Luckily, a fair amount of us are migrating to a new game, so I won't have to miss everyone.
I'm playing several other games that satisfy my need for fun and purpose. Project Entropia (and I will always call it that since it *never* changed to a Universe) takes too much and gives back so little now...and I'm not talking just about peds.

Now, I don't care if they fix this. If people wish to play in a game that is slowly cutting their profit margins a few pecs every VU, great. Pecs become PEDS and there is no indication it will ever stop.

Their little joke is in the name of the game. Entropy is MA's friend and they keep turning it up to see who can take it. We stayed for the promises of tomorrow and the chance at big loot. Rarely do the big loots come to the average player and there have been more broken promises than kept ones.

They are inching down the skills, reducing the effectiveness of Dodge and Evade. Increasing FAP decay. More damage from mobs. Game balancing? Perhaps...but that balance also gives them more income, coincidentally.

So, I'm done.

IF PE goes on to be a great game that rivals the best, cool, but it will do so without my deposits.

Well well it seems i am not the only one who hates Mind Ark more and more...
All I can say is this:

Entropia is a really good game i love new VU so thankyou MA!
Bad thing is if MA gets "lag" with the armor/clothes taking off thingy, please MA try to answer to this problem whit your money not whit ours if we going to pay 2 pec per changing armor/clothes then this is stupid i wont leave eu even if it wont change but MA please remove this tax...We allready paying you too much
