Yes me too and I could never work out how something like a pair of basic pattern pants could possibly sell for 600 ped when on auction for 3 or 4.

Yep, this one too Then I thought maybe it was the Robot Spaceships so spent hours running around under them hoping to find the illusive items worth 50 ped. At least I got some dodge skills

A few more embarressing ones springing to mind are:

Running everywhere and not tp'ing would increase my speed

That I had to use the correct machine to craft an item and then complaining to my Soc Mates that the machines were broken when I didn't get a success

Thinking that hunters couldn't possibly take on a Maffoid solo and survive so I used to stand ready with my fap-5 to help out

I believed that a complete set of armor would give extra bonus. I was scared shitless of running around in anything less than a full Nemi (and yes, this complete noob bought one 'cause it looked good, and then hunted Snables in it.)

My first two days sweating I saved up for an axe to go and chop down trees for wood.

I had no mentor, wasn't in socs and haven't read the forum too much in my early days so I didn't knew about any skill nerfs and slowing down in skill gains. So, when I reached level 10 in Laser Sniper after 1 month of playing I still believed that it remains only 9 months (simple calculations) until I'll get Great Master (100) in it

After 1 year of playing I'm still 37 in it and have no illusions anymore
