I have to agree about the EFD, and in retrospect, I really shouldn't have included that in my comment, because I am known to give out EFD to a good cause, and for being the "EFD Fairy GodMother" at this forum, so my apologies for that error. In fact, I would be happy to throw some EFD your way to promote your site. I guess I was just put off by the +rep comment, because I think +reps should come as they may without asking or even mentioning them at all, other than to thank those who have already given them to you. I personally don't think your intention was preditated with regard to the intent of this thread, but only mentioned that it could be perceived as such.

I also agree with your comment that, you should not have been -repped, and support that what you posted is your "opinion" and nothing more. The thread title may have led people to interpret this as a whining about whiners, but I don't see it as that at all, and I think the content clearly states that.

Despite the opposing "opinions" ... you made a valiant effort at sharing information that could be helpful, so thank you for doing just that.

For someone who stepped off the boat less than 3 months ago you seem pretty absolute in your judgment...

That comment about making the "whiners" happy is taken completely out of context. I was replying to the statement that I should be doing something that will make them happy. Another way of rewording it would be..

All I, or really anyone, can actually offer to any of these people is advice. (unless someone wants to give them loads of peds... I for one do not ) But if they can't take constructive advice and make use of it the only way that they will be happy is if the get better loot, unless you can think of another way that will make the people that complain about bad loot happy, I'd love to hear it.

And if you've read posts like this 14 million times before, why do you continue to read them? If you know this information already, do yourself a favor and go to another thread This thread is meant for those that don't already know this information. If I'm reading an article in a magazine that's telling me stuff I already know I don't read through it cursing the whole way, completely pissed that this is stuff I already know.. I simply move on to the next article that contains something I don't know and leave it at that. I can't image why you subject yourself to continuing to read posts that contain information you already know... seems a bit torturous to me

When, what, and how you decide to give out rep is your prerogative. Sorry my thread and it's title, "tone" and general cut of it's jib didn't fit into those parameters, we can't all be winners I suppose.

well thank you for the explanation even if it is a little delayed. But if you'd look over my clarifications, I wasn't meaning to be "begging" for efd or even "begging" for +rep I have since explained this and edited the thread as need be. Sorry for the confusion.

And as for being another whining thread... Well I suppose at it's basic level any thread that goes against the opinions of other people could be considered a "whining" thread, no matter how methodically it is laid out. This thread wasn't meant to be a "whining" thread but more to be a thread offering some constructive advice to those players that are having a hard time in game and feel the need to post everyday with the details of their latest unsuccessful hunt or such.

But again, your view on this thread is your opinion. Just as what is contained within the thread is my opinion.

I though the original post did a fairly good job of describing three different ways of looking at the game. I had a little trouble with the tone and thought it should have been a little less aggressive.
