Always wondered why newbies in EU were called noobs, unlike in other games. Probably confuses most newcomers! Personally I don't mind being called a nub/noob, really don't see whats offensive about it. Theres far worse things to be called.

I don't think I've called anyone a Noob in-game apart from friends and soc mates in which case I use it as a term of endearment I even call myself one when like yesterday when I was trying to colour something with a texturiser

Can't see why people get offended or annoyed by being called a Noob or Nub I can think of far more offensive words I've been called!

Lol, for the record I find the term noob and amusing and did not feel insulted by it. It was the personal pms full of abusive comments and bad language sent to me by that avatar that I had an issue with and hence my comments back to her in game when she started on me for no reason.

i have never minded being called a noob. it's a term of endearment amoungst me and my friends in game.
