Hmmm. It seems to me that someone had to start this thread. They are questions that are relevant to all of us. And Neverdie it was nice of you to come post and give us your side. It`s all about taking initiative. Some can do it with cash some only with words. But props to both none the less. Iregardless of us MA will do whatever they want. The best thing we can do is take a wait and see and hope that Space Pirates turns out to be the event we have waited for. And the opening of space is all we had hoped. We can hope that it gives many of us the opportinuty to match some of the glory days that the earliest players have enjoyed. Finding treasures that will increase in value or put us in better positions within the universe. Regardless interesting times are sure to come!

You tell us you were right and people shouldn't jump to conclusions without the fact yet you had your opinion and jumped to conclusions before ND posted.

"I told you so?" Paleeese. Rather was the other way around. Obviously must of been something lost in the translation (or selectively ignored) for some people, from what I read of the explanation he most certainly did have inside information. However cleverly worded, it could not of been more obvious.

Is as simple as this...who did you hear of the future additions to the game from? a single player more privileged than others to the information, or MA themselves in form of their paid Public Relations Spokesperson (Marco), or anyone else that works for the company? As far as the "fine line" goes, I cannot think of a single valid reason he should be told such information before the other 99.9999% of the population. Only reason at all I can think of (that is anywhere close to valid) would be for "promotional" reasons (for both ND and MA), and nothing really would be "lost" by having to wait until the rest of the population found out about it other than a few days of potential promotion, however there would be (and was) lots to be "gained" by fining out before anyone else. Also one can not help but notice that there was still no "official/concrete" word from MA about these new developments and the only way we found out about them is ND was kind enough to share his inside info with everyone else in the game.

"I told you so" is quite correct, though it belongs to the ones that speculated and jumped to the obvious conclusion.

Being adamant was nice, but the truth still came out on the side of the speculators and conclusion jumpers. The information certainly was used in an advantageous manner. Without even going into the purchase of two spaceships after "confirming" future additions (even though the more logical Ai for space would be the ones who have always been there and blew the Asteroid into pieces-the robots, but I guess some space pirates came a killed em all)...the very definition of taking "advantage" is to benefit from something, the fact that he used this privileged info to create and promote an event that will benefit himself financially is pretty much the very definition of taking advantage of something. Granted, not much different than anyone else that will create their own way(s) to take advantage of the same info now, but the point was that he did this from info that only he was privileged to.

I put the Space pirates event together based upon Public information.

If You Read the China Release it states that the upcoming planets will cause the opening of Space. As far as pirates are concerned Since we first Purchased hangars 4 years ago we have been expecting Pirates and other Space mobs..
(the ships have Guns!!!)

If you Read The Entropian you will see A quote from jan Welter talking about full Space Flight and shipping between Planets coming soon, (last year???)

I wrote my materials based on public knowledge, I Simply ran the copy that i wrote By MA and confirmed that it would be a Technological Revolution akin to the launch of Calypso...

I own an Asteroid a private SPACE based Portal in Entropia, it is a Private Business that I Have the Right to market to the general Public... (from a marketing standpoint i have a business relationship with MA)

Mindark are not starting to market Space yet, but I am, because i am in Space... I used my imagination and years of reading every single statement made by MA on the future of this universe to imagine what it will be like when Space Opens and I put marketing materials together based on that...

Once again I operate My Own Business inside EU with a Portal, therefore regardless if its a DJ that is performing at my club or a Sporting Event hosted at my club, an MA event or an upcoming VU, I can put my own Spin on it to reach the general public. Of course i must fact Check if its, something dependent on MA...

In the Coming years with New planets owned by new contentent developers responsible for their own marketing I imagine you can expect to see alot more of this.

So Please understand SPACE PIRATES began with me thinking of ways to market CND, drawing upon public Knowledge at no time did MA, tell me anything, in fact the opposite I wrote the entire Space pirates Copy based on Public knowledge and My own assumptions about the new technology that Space would introduce. I then presented my materials to MA to be certain they would not be inaccurate, in addition I stressed to MA how important I felt it was for Space to present another opportunity for the entire user base to be able to loot rare items...

Everything That I wrote they already had planned, its in the pipeline. MA do not have an official ETA, but Fall was the target when i went to print...

I'm regularly approached by the media and do a tremendous amount of interviews and I really wanted to champion the Space Expansion and I want to experiment with my own marketing techniques and materials to draw more people to EU... Which as a portal owner is natural.
