Chocolate is made from the seed of the tropical cacao tree. To produce chocolate you have to ferment cacao beans. (So you may say that beer is also seed or vegetable because it's made of hops and malted barley or wheat, corn, rice )
And chocolate bars usually contain large amounts of sugar.

I guess the best explanation what chocolate is would be like: Chocolate is a mixture of cocoa paste, cocoa butter, sugar, and milk.

Don't forget: It weren't the swiss that produced chocolate first (maybe just the best) it were the Aztecs of Mexico

Good to know for pet owners:
In sufficient amounts, the theobromine found in chocolate is toxic to animals such as horses, dogs, parrots, small rodents, and cats.
So don't feed pets or animals with chocolate!

On the salt topic depending what you eat like lots of very processed foods you will be getting more than enough salt in your diet and no need to add a shake from your saltshaker and that’s usually is where people run in to problem with salt

LOL back when I was a 17 year old kid, I could wolf down a McDonalds cheeseburger in 4 seconds. LOL

I do tend to eat more sensibly now, although at SCA feasts I tend to overeat since the food at many of them is just so damn good! LOL
