Here is an idea brought forward by my society Leader Ebony Knight. I would like to know what you all think or if you have any other ideas like this/ ways to improve this idea?
Too Many New Players quitting EU. Main reason for this, its too hard for starting players to get PED. The market value of sweat has dropped to ridiculous low amounts. Finding fruit, dung and texture stones are way too infrequent as sources of cheap income. Free oil at Oil Rig? Get serious, only the uber players get that oil. New players are going to give up on EU a long time before they get to the interesting parts to consider depositing to get the PED. Create an environment that will increase vibrant sweat prices. Creating different coloured vibrant sweat and making other uses for vibrant sweat should make vibrant sweat more valuable than it currently is. Different coloured sweat Gathering sweat from different age maturity creatures receive different coloured vibrant sweat. Gather Sweat skill/profession may have to be of a certain level to unlock new coloured sweat Different coloured vibrant sweat can be refined with other materials to produce different items. i.e. specific mind essence for different mindforce skills Standard vibrant sweat would be renamed to vibrant brown sweat. Vibrant brown sweat should not fall below 1 pec each at market value price Different coloured vibrant sweat can refuel Revival chips at more than 1:1 ratio depending on the colour (See Revival Chip point below) Revival chip recharge-using sweat All colonists start with a Revival chip, this explains how avatars are automatically revived at revival terminals when killed Revival chips can be removed and placed into a slot in the mindforce implant chip using the implant chip tool Revival chips use vibrant sweat for fuel Revival chip use fuel/sweat equal to the excess damage done to kill avatar Different Revival chips can store different amounts of vibrant sweat Should an avatar fail to keep a revival chip fuelled, then the avatars equipment decays, in case of no equipment, time delay of revival or avatar is revived someplace else. i.e. Hospital revival zone. Revival chips can be inserted into Pets Explaining the changes in-game. Using logs leading up to the implementation of revival chips/sweat refuel. Main log information points as follows: It looked like a standard Beacon Mission, but when we started looting the containers, we found a box of strange dust. Computer log of drones; the strange dust is being used to see the clouds. Weird, as drone alloys rust, why would they want rain to occur? Testing site of seeding shows area where outpost revival terminal doesnt show on map. Is there a connection between the drones and the revival outpost failing to appear on the map? Investigating the revival terminal that doesnt show up on map. Desiccated colonists are found at the revival terminal. Another colonist is revived but collapses, all liquid drained from body. Cleanup crews are brought in to hide this evidence and to examine the corpses. Weeks go by, no clue as to what is causing this. Colonist is revived at that outpost alive!!! Colonist is not happy, its his/her first death in the zone and he/she discovers all the vibrant sweat he/she has collected is gone. Further study shows the strange dust actually absorbs water when matter is transported through the ether/space that the teleporter/revival terminals use. Further tests show that carrying excess vibrant sweat will stop the dust absorbing fluids from vital organs. Crystal Palace and Club NeverDie space stations were safe until the air filtration systems were sabotaged and a force field erected around these systems. (Hopefully you can put these points into a better prose/story should you use this suggestion) |

it is also real easy to use the search function to find simular threads like this
one comment though on the content of your thread razing sweat price is ok for the starting players(sweaters) but their razed income comes from players that play longer as them not from ma as you play longer you want the sweat also as cheaply as possible |

Yep... what he said. As long as sweat can be gathered by everyone, the price will be the same or lower. Simple economics.

ok well yes we all know Drooe is new but give him a break yeh?
Yes lots of new players think the sweat price should go up but its normally due to a lack of understanding for what it is used for and what it can realistically cost in order to be actually worth while buying. Drooe has shown at least some understanding by suggesting that it is the use of sweat that needs to change. :thumbsup: As for the idea... actually I think I must have been up for too many hours cause I could barely follow it. I liked the initiative of actually coming up with a story to explain the changes though. Might have to examine that one in more detail some time to see if I can't work it into something.
