A Ferrari at 50% price is still fu..ing expencive for most normal people, and its not only the car you need to buy.

So, you want to hunt everything in the game with a cool pew pew lasergun and i LOL.Fap (mod.fap) in your shining supremacy armor. Ok.. fair enough...

What do you want to give to Stormer, Skalman, Stryker, Neo, Jenna, Joda, Neverdie, Avery, etc etc etc etc that have put down thousands of more hours and most likey thousands of more dollars into the game?

Should they get even better equipment then?

Or do you think you should get the same things? Then why do you think you deserve that?
And if you think they should get new even more uberish equipment, isnt that just the same thing?

With Vivo T20, Gremlin + 5b, Taurus, Scorpius, Hopikus, Apis you can go to CP without any bigger problems.. None of those things are really uberish..
Exchange the Gremlin for a Ghost and you can handle Hogglo or Phasm..

No, you cant hunt Falx or Araneatrox in that.. But some things in game.. well, maybe they arent ment for you.. Maybe there are somethings that are made just because there are people who put down those thousands of hours more than you.

What has made things worse is that a very good protecting armour has become so ridiculously cheap...... Ghost

Noobs are spoilt with a full set for +90 or so. this means that the neccessary steps needed in EU have gone.

No longer do people hunt snables and daiks till the graduate etc. The depo $20 buy ghost with no skills and go hunt mobs which are too big for them. The next mistake imo was the Korss 400 maxing at lvl 14ish. This was a very eco, fastish (57 per min) pistol that, when amped with a 105, did far better avg damage than a maddox +dante did for a player who had just unlocked coolness.

these 2 things took away the noob period and made brand new players the same as we were after 6-8 months. These new players who are hunting trox in plated ghost and getting hit with every shot, then want to hunt hoggs etc.

people are in too much of a rush to become uber before they are even mid-level.

I also agree that the prices for Jag upwards are stupid, but that will never change as people have this idea that "the last sold for X so I'm gonna sell for X+Y"

Manipulators are not single handedly raising prices, but the players are. Go to the auc and see how many products have a BO set at weekly % or less. They are all set higher as people want MORE !! Greed is what drives up prices and unfortunately (except when you usually sell up and chip out) everyone wants more ped than the last sold for

It's true that uber items is not something everyone should have - And comparing it to some expensive car IRL is also correct...

But the problem is that in RL you can say that this car cost 200K, and I can afford to save up 10K per month, and in 20 month you will be able to buy this car... In entropia it's different, you know this item cost 200K ped, you start saving up 10K per month and it will be like this:

month 0 - Savings: 0K - price: 200K - Left to save 200K
month 0 - Savings: 10K - price: 210K - Left to save 200K
month 0 - Savings: 20K - price: 220K - Left to save 200K
month 0 - Savings: 30K - price: 230K - Left to save 200K
month 0 - Savings: 40K - price: 240K - Left to save 200K
month 0 - Savings: 50K - price: 250K - Left to save 200K

Even if someone is dedicated enough to save up - He wont be able to since inflation is to fast.


BUT - Everyone can get Imk2 or Mod fap - IF they have enough dedication and time... Might be 1 year, it might be 10 years or even 20, 30 or 40 years...
(Granted that one has to be for sale)


Are prices insane - Year they are way higher than I think MA ever intended when they started Entropia, but why should they change anything about it ? Armors is a different thing, MA are still interested in armors being posible to get, since they make them decay and that's why you still see a few uber item drops now and then... I'm pretty sure we will not see any fap drops above Adj, and weapon drops I'm allmost positiv that we wont see any Imk2 drops. MM and Imp M2870 might be posible, and then there is all the (L) weapons that I'm pretty sure we will see in UL version, even the crafted ones (Even Adapted Mont and Svempa XT)

Agree with most of your post, Waheed...
But I think it's the other around for MAs priorities:

MAs primary concern, is to provide a wide range of gear, from items with very poor stats up to uber-rare-uber-good-uber-eco stats, in order for us to always have something better to strive for.

Pricing is secondary for them, but in order to have this wide range of gear-quality, huge gaps in the pricing will automatically occur.

The best way to handle EU is to put on youre sunglasses and pretend that EU is the perfect game, and that you dont play it couse of the RCE part.

I like how people compare the uberitems with RL items, common this crap is still a fu**ing game, not RL! I think MA is shooting there own foot in the way they handle EU.

But it's also a virtual world with RCE, so it differs a lot from normal games.

I was at the oil rig the other night. Every mid level player there was talking seriously about chipping out and leaving. The reason? Because there was no realistic next level to aim for without massive deposits, or that luck ATH or big Hof due to the skill nerfs and lack of next level items. People see the price going up -> they keep the nice item rather than selling it and hope its value to increase further more -> less supply on market -> more demand on market -> price goes up -> people feel more confidence in their choice to keep the item -> still no supply on market -> rich boys buy them at high price tag -> price inflation ...

That's how it works.
