Sitting on it until space is an equally risky strategy since theres a chance that something you could buy now for x ped may be x+10-30k ped if you wait too long. Skippie's suggestion of buying amps is a good one. Also, you may wish to purchase some kind of weapon armour and fap. hangar's are a bit of unknown territory but would definitely be nice to have one. LA would be great but the investment needed wouldnt leave you a whole lot for anything else, wheras you could buy kit along the lines of a DOA rockjacker or a Justi Mk V ME, an adj fap, a big amp to go on it and a full set of quality armour like angel and still have a fair bit of change from 200k that you could then either hold back, spend on a hangar or skills.

I spent about 6 months in EU before I depo'd, but when I did I decided that its better to buy something and work towards having the skills for it than wait till you have the skills and then buy it because by then the price for the item(s) may have increased many times over. As an illustration of this, I bought my primary weapon and armour 14 months ago. At current prices I couldnt get the weapon alone at that price, yet its taken until now for me to get to a point where I'm using the equipment at a reasonably competent level.

Buy a LA, hire a well known promoter and have them run events numerous times a week. This will bring in plenty of ped. Poll the community to see which mobs they would like to see on the LA

A dream i had was running a year long event with the winning prizes being HIGH end armor. OFC, i'll never have a ped card big enough to support my dream...so, it stays at just that...a dream.

plus, a year-long event would likely require ridiculous amounts of marketing to keep it popular, or else it'd be just a couple clans warring it out while others moved on to something else. Maybe instead a series of shorter events for each piece? Like 1 for the helmet, 1 for gauntlets, a huge one for the foot guards, etc....
