I have been watching with interest the stupidly increasing price of the A series amps over the last few weeks & thought i would take a peek at the auctions.
My suspisicions were confirmed after looking at a few a104'S & a103'S that had bids on them & who some of the bids were coming from. Surprise surprise surprise......not naming names but a retarded person could connect the dots on this one. Other than not playing the game, there's really no way to stop these clowns from trying to manipulate the price of certain items. I've read in other posts about ebay & schill bidding not being condoned but i caught a power seller doing exactly that the other day. I ended up paying more for an item due to schilling. After pointing out to the seller that i knew exactly what had transpired he offered to refund my money & send me the goods for free in return for not reporting the matter to ebay. Ebay don't give a rats & turn a blind eye to the whole affair. EU's auction is a much much smaller affair & i think MA could police this BS if they really wanted to....just a thought. |

sucks, but it is just a small part of an ongoing theme in the market of entropia items. some things do go up to real supply and demand, but a very large part of the market value is created value from 'investers' and auctionhawk resellers.

There is an easy solution to this.. if just ppl would stop buing overpriced stuff it would stop on it's own. But i guess ppl are always gonna do stupid things with their cash so why not in eu

Just an idea: I wonder if it would work if you asked your (trusted) socmate to put an order for tt+0 or tt+1 if tt+0 is not possible and then if you placed the item at the same buyout. [edit] looks like the reseller has an order for +470 now for a104 so it would have to be +471 to not to lose the item (it would still decrease its day mv of +481.23)[/edit] Then the game should instantly (i'm not sure if it works that way without ever showing the item to normal auction watchers) sell it to your socmate so you will not lose the item and the graph will go down (if order items are counted in auction data graphs). Or if it doesnt work - ask 10 socmates to watch the auction very closely and refresh every few seconds on a low traffic time of day and buy the item quicker than anyone else could catch it (this one is risky ofc). (only to combat the manipulators ofc) ![]() Last edited by Aandar; 04-26-2008 at 11:15. |
