Depositing and fees

Curious,

Im in the US, and regulary deposit via the credit card option.

The Fee is starting to bug me, is there another form of depositing I could take advantage of to avoid that pesky fee?

bank transfer, but then your bank will simply levy a fee instead of the CC, so its no different unless for large amounts (depends on what the bank fee is to determine the break even point)

So does everyone wind up eating this fee then?

I was under the impression that Paynove/ Ukash etc, didn't involve the same fees.

Bugs me that we pay 1K's for something "eco", but still throw away 20-30 peds a week in deposit fees

they aren't charities. when you buy your credit/voucher/whatever you pay a fee up front for it. people seem to think this is different from the CC fee, maybe because they see it going to the third party? i dont know what the fees are, so they might be better.

Cant remember what the % fee is for using ukash at the moment - I will check next time I depo with it. But I seem to remember it being cheaper that credit card transactions.

But there are 2 different rates with ukash - pretty sure you get charged more if you use the ingame deposit system over the deposit system on the EU website.

Really not sure why this is.

I don't recall seeing an option for bank transfer on the deposit page...?

Its the fourth option in the list "via bank office"

Make a deposit using your real world bank office. When you select this option you will be provided with a one-time deposit key along with details of a MindArk bank account connected to the Entropia Universe. Bring this information to your bank office, make your deposit and the amount will be manually transferred to your Entropia Universe PED Card once we receive the deposit receipt from the bank. Please note that the minimum amount you can transfer, per deposit, using this method is US$100. Amount: Currency:

As i say in every thread that asks about depoing... bank to bank. no fees. my bank charges a nominal international bank transfer fee, but it's nowhere near 15-20% of my depo if i were to use CC

Not all banks charge for payment by SWIFT. Some Dutch banks have no charge, some charge a % of your deposit, some a set amount like my bank does £17.50 per SWIFT

Even better for Swedish people they should in effect be able to walk straight into any Handelsbanken branch and deposit the cash directly to MA's account and have no charge at all.
