Didnt loot become pretty dire for a while after Pham's big big withdrawal too?

(No offence intended to any withdrawers btw)
But there has to deposit someone before someone else can sell somthing and withdraw no matter how big the ammount is, so that would level itself out and MA don't need to tweak the loot return therefore.

I have been in EU for more than 5 years. There has ALWAYS been people complaining about bad loots and that it gets worse. And MA has ALWAYS been blamed. It is just the conspiracy theories that changes.

I think the the average TT value on every loot is about the same as it was 5 years ago.

Who do you people get notificiation about big withdrawals? Is there some MA tool saying: ALERT ALERT LARGE SUM OF PEDS LEAVING THE GAME, THE SKY IS FALLING, GET TO THE BOATS!

Seriously, how do you know?

Yep agreed, someone has to buy that amounts worth, so isn't ped in circulation. I think people have lowered their ingame activity somewhat as a result of "the loot bug" and other wierd things happening as detailed in the below thread.

Warning!!!! Missing Loot!

This has spooked a lot of players out

Look lets get realistic, we are MAs cash cow if they have a drop in earnings they will tweak the dynamics to ensure it remains consistent, profit my friend conquers all regardless.
If this company goes thru an IPO (floats on the stock market) it needs to show consistently growing profits, it's beautiful they can do that by being *ahem dynamic and there's only one thing you can do about that....
I for one recently have now come to the conclusion that I will never again depo. For me it's all over, what has made this game good for me is the participants but now I'd rather chance my arm at online poker at least there I have a shot of losing my money through my own stupid decisions and not those of an *ahem dynamic gambling machine
MA will never be the losers here, someone else has to be, go figure.....

The accounts of the frauds are locked , but they allready bought a lot of high markup stuff from honest players. These players are ofc not punished by MA, so the fraud money is in the game and can be withdrawn.

They locked the players who did the fraud and there are the items locked as well. But since MA can't earn anything on the markup (only if they auction en again MA lost the money that was markup.

I have a strong suspicion that they tuned down the return to recover their losses. So this means that we the normal and honest players now are paying for the fraud, instead of MA taking some resposibility. (It's due a bug in their system that the fraud was possible in teh first place.)

Ma could do a much better way of recovering the money, by auctioning the locked items from these users. This gives a second advantage that for example the Chronicle parts are not lost and are out the game. They might not recover all of it, but at least maybe 80%. That's 80% less punishement for the honest players.

It's based on speculation ofc. but I'm not the only one that sees a drastical drop in loot since the fraud. (Personal experiences: almost 2K ped wasted on auril's not one global, about 1K ped spend on Esto's , not one global, a 600 ped crafting run on a lvl2 components BP with a QR of 80: A return of 35% on a 500 ped run,...)

Does MA handle this well, or did they just take the easy way of recovering their losses and punish the honest players by it?

Give me your ideas.
Is this not the way it works in all real life situations?

Shops get "shop-lifters" in stealing stuff. Shops owners know this, and know that on average they will lose (Say) 5% of their stock in this manner. They don't just bend over, lube up, and take it. They add 5% to the price of everything they sell to cover the cost of what's being stolen. We, the honest shoppers, end up paying for what gets stolen.

Petrol stations have people drive off without paying for fuel. They don't just say "Oh well, there goes £100 of diesel." They put a fraction of a penny on every litre to cover the amount that gets stolen. We the honest car drivers pays for the stolen fuel.

Insurance companies suffer from fraudulent claims. To re-coup their losses they add a bit to every premium. We, the insured, end up paying.

So if you are right, and MA are recovering the lost money by reducing the loot, they are doing what everyone else in these cases does, by recovering it from the customers who do pay.

I find it strange that you find this surprising, or note-worthy.
