Nope. It wouldn't be Entropia Universe if there was a monthly fee.

The only thing EU has going for it is the RCE take that away and it would die fast.

4) Everyone ends up playing on the same level, there is no diversity
5) People tend to start acting as though they are 8 years old again in the pay-to-play worlds, most likely because they are bored
I went back to WOW after 2 years away, and I have to concur. It was never a question of *if* just a question of *when* I would gte all the top-level gear. No challenge at all...and it has been made rediculously easy now. The thing about questing and content that in the end: it's all done and you are back to square 1. Here *we* create the content in a way, so it's always evolving.

NO monthy fees...it would kill the game. If you cannot afford PE as an RCE then go play one of the other hundred pay-by-month games and let us have this one as it is...

EDIT: Your poll is also skewed. Why can't I just say "Hell no!"

everyone keeps saying that a monthly fee would mean it's not a RCE - how does one make that jump? a monthly fee could simply be in place for whatever reason MA says (improve systems, support, content, loots, whatever) and the RCE would still be intact as it is (i.e. depo whenever one feels like it)

im in the middle, don't care one way or another

not unless the monthly fee provided me something. as it is now i am able to play anytime on whatever ever budget i have currently $0 which means you will see an avatar with lvl33 hit sweating because i can. making a fee would have to provide me something that keeps me shooting in order to feel its worth it.

Or if you want detailed opinions, how about an option of No, I don't deposit and I like it just fine? Or, how about a No, I'll deposit when I damn well feel like it?

Barkeep - I will have another.

Ditto! Leading questions like that just piss me off.

Well I don't see it happening, as one of EU's marketing points is that it can be played for free.

Reading the thread starter's post, what you seem to be asking is do we think EU should have a monthly fee that will cover all your expenditure in-game. In other words you seem to be suggesting you want to pay a monthly fee and then be able to hunt as much as you'd like.

That's completely contrary to the RCE nature of EU and would destroy it in an instant.

A monthly fee whilst maintaining the RCE nature (as onyx suggests) is different I guess, and not I think what the thread starter is suggesting. I think that'd be problematic to introduce too, and would suggest to me that MA's business model wasn't working too well if they had to introduce it.
