Its simple supply/demand .... and as long as there are ppl. with too many $$$ who like those cool and rare "pixels" ... the price is what ppl. are willing to give.

Nothing wrong with that .... everyone has the option to NOT buy.

I agree. He simply looked at the price history and decided to offer a Starting Bid of just over the avg markup amount. If it doesn't sell, then no problem... if it does, then that's fine as well. This is really how prices go up in a free market. People are free to sell the items for whatever price they want and others are free to buy them at whatever price they want.

You are comparing apples with oranges.

There is no new supply of the Mod Fap, and the same applies to other rare items whose price continually rises (no new supply at all, or very limited new supply, like one drop a year).

Although there aren't many Phantom Feet around, there is a small trickle of new supply which should keep things steady-ish.

The market history shows that on the same day no-one was prepared to go higher than tt+1350. Now (assuming the feet were sold to a hunter) there is one less person trying to get the feet. Those remaining are not, apparently, prepared to pay over tt+1350, so why would they decide now to meet a starting bid of tt+1400?

I don't think there's much strategy behind it, perhaps the word hope would fit better?

By the way can anybody tell me the official date he was adopted by Ma? Is he Jan's long lost love child? He alone has made more in globals and hofs (Not sure but think a small ath also) in the last two weeks then I have seen anyone in game combined for that short time frame.

I don't understand what the problem is. If he priced them too high, no one will buy them. If someone buys them, then that is what they are worth, to at least one person.
