Had two dealings with Tzepu myself, once I enquired about a Firestorm chip in his shop and if he could knock off a few k ped from the price. He was polite and took a moment to look at his records before deciding he felt it was worth hanging on to. Fair enough, so I didn't buy the chip.
A few months later I went back and bought a M71A1 at a price I felt was fair, vindicated somewhat by another having sold for 2k more in a documented pvp sale a few weeks later. Obviously I can't speak for everything about Tzepu because I don't know him well, but I have no complaints from my dealings with him. What I can say from this thread is there is a big problem with the way people perceive resellers. The problem is all resellers, traders, etc all get lumped in the same bracket. - There are simple traders (eg. buy at CND cheap, sell on planet). - There are speculative investors (eg. buy rifle in anticipation of price rise later) - There are deal spotters (eg. spot cheap item in auction, buy it with intention to resell) I have no problem with any of these, sure maybe they contribute to raising prices a bit, but no more than the people buying the items. They also help keep the market fluid. - There are hoarders who attempt to raise prices by monopolising the market and artificially reducing supply - There are manipulators who use illegal tricks and multiple accounts to create false auction data There's a huge difference between the two types. All the hatred shown for people who are really just one of the first three in the end imo just serves to drown out the real issues that are occurring with the last two types. Anyway, lock requested by TS. ![]() |
