I am almost the same way, but I couldn't be bothered copying you whole text and stretching the page too much..
People have this whole idea of traders wrong...thinking we are merely resellers out to scam everyone but I would like to know what people think would happen if we weren't here buying at one time of day and supplying at another... I will tell everyone what will happen, EU would grind to a complete halt...No miner would be able to sell his gear to a crafter since they are only here for "playing", crafters wouldn't be able to sell equipment back to miners since they are only bothered about clicking and losing ped like a good little Entropian, which means eventually the supply of materials coming into the game will drop like an elephants smile upon seeing the Empire State building. If miners and crafters cannot be bothered finding their own buyers and sellers they are up the creek without a paddle aren't they? Cut us some slack and find out who we are before condemning us, I dont run around scamming people, I simply facilitate YOUR gameplay when you cannot afford to buy 100,000 "stuff" off the auction at 1k ped but break it down and sell in easy to manage chunks taking a not unreasonable profit to make tying up MY money in auction worthwhile... Please guys, think about what a world would be if no traders existed...honestly, you would have left years ago ![]() (Maybe us real traders should go on strike for a month or two en-masse and really drop all complainers in the shit and see how they fare) |

![]() I don't totally agree that that path is a good path to be on... but think some real "resellers" do chose that path sort of... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thelema http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&c...22&btnG=Search I don't think resellers are the devil, but do think money might be the root of all evil somewhat as some say... be careful. ![]() Aleister Crowley was a complete idiot in many ways... but he did his own thing... some "resellers" are like that since they do their own thing and don't care what impact it has on others. Wholesellers and Traders go the other way and try to help themselves out by buying low, and help others out by selling lower than they could potentially sell for at higher rates. Be kind to others and they may be kind to you is the trader mentality. Be kind only unto thyself seems to be the reseller philosophy. |

we make this game PROFITABLE for many many people, or make it easier to break even. how so? easy. when you are starting out in something, and have low skills and not alot of ped to work with on it, the auction is a bad thing, why? because at small amounts the markup is to high on buying resources and items needed to craft, or mine ect. and the extra 5% of buying price hurts alot. Or dont you remember that from when you were starting playing? Add to it that the extra fee for selling on an auction, it isnt worth while unless you are selling large amounts, but newer players cant really afford this. that's where we come in. when we sell itms on the streets, generally we sell the resources/what ever at market price. the same markup as it is in large quantities, but you have the option of buying the smaller amount, like 200 clicks of Iron for baisic screws. we also buy the stuff that is simpy not profitable to sell on the auction, things you need huge stacks or there tt fodder, low tt value items small amounts of resources (i cant count how many lowbie miners that are very much appreciating my wanting to buy there 40 caldorite stones, so they can go out and mine some more, otherwise, they would never find a buyer.) so before calling us the devil, why dont you look at both sides of the story. and yes, i know this post was not meant to call us the devil, but disagree with it. but there seems to be alot of peope caling us evil on this thread. so thats why im posting this |

@ last why do just the seller have to pay auction fee IRL both seller and buyer have to pay, the seller pays sellerfee and the buyer buyingfee. |

A reseller wouldn't bother with dealing with a miner unless the miner got ruga, dunkel or perhaps a beacon. Think that a resellers half-way goal is to be able to control the market so he's able to "adjust" the market price so he can get more than he paid (without leaving the auctioneer). Resellers can't do that with stuff that's dropped daily. |

Of course they can, you just need to have enough capital to be able to constantly buy out everything at the mark-ups stated, and keep doing it until you are ready to sell everything.
The trouble with that though is the risk, resellers dont want someone else dumping onto the market before them so rarely get into the business of making eye oil sell for 200%+ |
