Useless Banks?

When banking licenses were first sold, it was with the understanding that there would be only five licenses for an exclusive period of two years. That two year period has expired now. To my knowledge, one of the banks has never operated. I wouldn't mind an explanation about that from FPC at some point.

As for taxing people to run the banks, that suggestion would go down like a lead balloon, I'm sure.

I think that now the exclusivity period has expired there is no reason why FPC (or is it MA?) couldn't offer more licenses, giving people more choice.

Failing that, it is up to the banks to help themselves. If they don't help themselves then people will come to rely on them less and less. And that will be bad for business. Therefore, the ball really is in the court of the bank owners on this one.

LMAO, but I mean there is solutions to this problem, people just have to take action. I'm new so I really don't know how big the planet is really, but on 5 banks is not enough.

Given that seldom do they have the underpinning of funds to accept loans~
Given that their reliability is reporting lack of use and reliability!
Dunno but under the sheets has MA has some form of agreement to sustain low markup item compensaton however over a certain markup its owners risk.(not sure on this as being real)
Given the fall of EU prices on higher markup items I wonder if bankers have cut losses and reduced speculation!

Um... as someone said if the banks are being used so much then capital needs to be added.... think about it...

Isn't the yearly % rate like near the credit cards? I haven't used a bank saw a SS a while back saying like 20% annually...

Anyways...

If they are being used tons Id toss all the cash I had at em if they were making 6%+ interest a year, thats a decent return and then you can easily just borrow money from a bank with lower rate and use it in-game if you can pay the dues.

If its 20%, quit the game, toss all funds you can to support your bank...


But my guess is most people dont have all available funds required originally in the bank... I cant see what is it 5M PED being used up in loans.... but thats just me...
