For the last week now i've been unable to deposit off 3 different valid cards, keeps saying cant connect "Your credit card deposit could not be committed.
Reason:Error in connection with cardholder. (Try again.)".. These are all visa type cards at different backs. Me thinks MA currently has an issues with there CC processing system. You think they would be onto this one as a holiday breaker. Support hasnt returned any reply yet (3 days ago). Anyone else experiencing problems? |

I cannot deposit through MA due to issues between them and the verification system attached to my debit card... here is an ongoing support case about it:
Case 46677 History 2005-07-08 David Gruyé II: Okay... this case is regarding Case 32036, where i had said all my deposits were failing due to now being able to get verified. You guys said to talk to my bank about it, so i did, and they said that everything was okay on their end, and that the problem was between you (MindArk) and the verification company (i think Verified by VISA, but i am not sure). Now, I had noticed you recently changed the EULA to state that people would get locked if they used other means to deposit or buy/sell items other than through MA... so, what i am trying to say is that at the moment, in order to deposit into PE, i have to risk getting locked... which in my opinion is not fair. So i am asking you to give me a clear answer, and to possibly fix this issue. also, please DO NOT close this support case until i can successfully deposit through you guys. because if you do, i will stop playing PE altogether, because i do not want to risk getting locked just because i am trying to pay for a game that i love to be a part of. 2005-07-08 David Gruyé II: here is what it says after i put in my password for Verified by VISA: 3dSecure Success you are redirected to payment page, please wait... Then the next screen i see says this: Your credit card deposit could not be committed. Reason:The request could not be authorized 2005-07-08 MindArk Support: We have been taking a look into your deposit log history. It seems like the CC that you are using now has been working ok from Oct 23, 2004 and until Feb 8 this year. However, after Feb 13, all your deposit attempts have failed. Do you remember if your CC was connected to to the 3dSecure/Verified by VISA process at the time when it was working ? The communication procedure when you are initiating a CC transaction is like follows; MindArk PE -> iDeb/Euroline (PSP-payment service provider) -> Your Bank -> any possible third party verification system (3dsecure etc) -> iDeb -> MindArk PE The error report that you have received is transfered to us from our PSP 2005-07-08 David Gruyé II: I remember having to put in a password in order to continue with the deposit, back when i had no problems depositing (if thats what you are asking). then it seemed that all of a sudden it just stopped working and i couldnt get authorized 2005-07-11 MindArk Support: OK, seems like problem has araised with respect to the 3d secure process. Unfortunately, it is not much we can do about it from our end. (we are just receiving the error message and the "cancelled" decision from our PSP) You would probably have to contact your card issuer once again and ask them to help you resolve this with 3d secure and/or iDeb/Euroline (=PSP) 2005-07-13 David Gruyé II: Alright, i will talk to my bank again (as it is a debit card issued by them) about it, and will write here what they say. 2005-07-21 David Gruyé II: Well i have been busy busy busy at work lately, and have not had time to talk with my bank, so i will try to do it within the next couple days (i am hoping). I have yet to talk to my bank lol i keep forgetting to talk to them again :P |

Exactly same problem with same symptoms as da Celt has. I contacted my verificating bank and they havent recieve any kind of queries, so it has to be MA.
Hope that will be fixed soon, for i'm without ammo, without PED, without anything to tt in outpost surrounded with atraxes and umbranoids. Oh, and im wearing *very* worn pixie and all of my three axes are broken! so much for skilling, huh? ![]() Last edited by kalanen; 08-05-2005 at 08:29. |

Having the same problem for 3 days , my bank says should be working fine and i have always needed to go through Verify Visa to deposit also i was able to deposit through Paynova with the same CC and needed to Verify through Visa with that and it worked fine, although u do get charged 4% instead of the 3.5% by just depositing with CC , so guess its just a waiting game for either a reply from support or a verify code from Paynova to deposit again

Currently, there are a number of ongoing "works" in order to raise the security level with respect to CC purchases over the Internet. Your problem might be related to such "work". The communication procedure when you are initiating a CC transaction is like follows; MindArk PE -> iDeb/Euroline (PSP-payment service provider) -> Your Bank -> any possible third party verification system (3dsecure etc) -> iDeb -> MindArk PE If there is a problem somewhere in this chain, your deposit will not come through. Several participants seem to have had similar problems the last few days. We are though roughly investigating this now and trying to see if the problem is to be found at our side. When we have more information we will get back to you. Sorry for any inconveniences caused to you by this and thank you for your patience. have you tried depositing thru the client loader? a couple of months ago i stopped being able to deposit thru the ingame interface, because they stepped up security. now i have to deposit thru the CL and jump thru some extra hoops, but it still works fine.

i admit i was not sure what u meant by Client Loader ( i know im a noob lol ) but it gave me the thought about trying via the ingame PE transaction Centre and YAY!!!!! it worked for me, hope it works for everyone else. GL with it guys im off for a hunt ![]() |

kalanen - i got the same support response this morning.. I'm sorry to say i'm glad i'm not the only one, therefore the likelyhood of a rapid fix is high.
Emptywalls - I've never used the in-game deposit feature, always used the CL one. I'll try the oposite of your CL recommendation and try the in-game tonight. its worth a shot, thanks for opening that line of thought. (i would of expected the same security to be applyied to both, go figure) |
