You know we PE'rs have some pretty strange Discount habbits.

Some use the real life aproach of where if you buy large quantities you get a dsciount.
But then there is the time factor and how people will sell you say 1k of something for more markup because well now you dont have to go looking for more.

So what should we be paying more or less for large quatities buys? Or does it depend on the item? Could we possibly make some sort of rule set to help markets be more practical?

In PE the supply of certain things is quite limited compared to real life. If a crafter wants to make a large run on some bp for bp hunting or skilling it will take him a lot of time to gather everything he needs. Thus to conserve time he is willing to pay more for larger amounts than smaller ones.

it really depends on the material I think. if you unload alot of shitty pixiestuff on someone you sell them for less tt+ for each, but I can fully understand that people charge more for large quantities of say for example mindessence.

When im buying im not paying anything more than 120%, no matter what ore, at larger quantities i sometimes get it even cheaper.
But ofcourse, i just use it for skilling, not buying any of those 200%-300% ores or even more.

Rarely sell any, as i try to use all i mine myself

the thing about markup for bigger quantities apply for some real life markeds also most noteably silicium and precius metals and gems, but also a other stuff so basicaly its supply/demand

Simple:
If you buy large amount of very rare material the cost is higher.
If you buy large amount of very common material the cost is lower.

if supply is small and you buy up a big part of the available material prize might rise also.. makes sence for me at least.

for many companies its NOT good buisiness to produse more, expand
fast/work overtime to keep up to the demand, machines break down etc. overtime is more expencive. ppl get exhausted.they make more mistakes and profit simply go down. hmm this might have gotten of topic

I myself also craft a bit, and so i try and buy the cheapest i find which generally is in smaller amounts, but if i finda good bulk deal of course i buy it

Usual when i buy or sell Materials or Items it depends the Ammount of it what i gonna pay for it.

Shure there some people who like the Low Ammount prizes for a Bulk, but those i send direct to a Buyuoter or Tell the Avatar that i not take it without a discount

Mostly i get the discount.

A discount realy depends the Ammount there is on the open market & auction.
But a Bulk is a Bulk, even it is a rare item.

So no discount = No Deal :P
