I don't really like to team because I dont really consider it fair. Well you can distribute the peds to your liking, but the items .. I really don't see any good solution.
What if, in lets say an extreme situation, you get a mod fap as the only item of the drop. Will you give your teammate 50k peds for it? Will your teammate give it to you? I would really like to see some sort of item pool for a team. After the hunt the teammembers can distribute it like they wish and if not all members agree, all the items are put on auction (or you can even wich items go to auction, wich are tt-ed and wich are distributed) and the profit is split in a pre determined way (by damage, equal, ...) |

A point that has been made b4 and is still very valid... yet there isn't much of a way imo to solve it other than to only team hunt with those you trust. Even then, I've heard stories of ppl looting some pretty decent items and not sharing
The problem with an automatic item loot that must be agreed upon or else put into auction is the current market value of the item itself. If it automatically were to go on auction, who's to say it would fetch the top dollar of the day? If I were in a team and we looted a mod fap (to use your example), I would much rather take our time and get the highest price for it rather than it go straight to auction and be sold without really looking around for a top buyer. I agree with you certainly that those big-ticket items in team hunt can be tricky, but for the most part ppl that team hunt together also trust one another and usually are more than happy to share the loot and/or distribute the peds accordingly. btw- if you're team hunting with peeps you don't know too well, solve this issue immediately. And if you have a gutt feeling that you cannot trust some1 with a big item, don't go for team hunt with them. |

I teamhunt with my soc and I trust all of em .. That pretty much solves the issue. =/
Any items with a tt+ value are auctioned and split evenly. everything else goes to the tt and is distributed post-hunt. |

As with Dash, I team hunt with my soc only. We've never had this happen but, it has been discussed. We handle it this way. We divide the TT value evenly among the team if the split would equal at least 1 ped per member.
Example, 3 peeps hunting, I loot 2 armax skins worth a total of 2 ped..mine to keep. If there were 3, I would give each of the other two 1 ped cash. In the case of large items, say an MK2 for example. The person looting it would split the TT 3 ways and if later, he got more than that in the auction...it's his to keep. As we see it, imagine it as if it was only ped and not an item, each gets an equal share. In the case of a mod fap....I'll let you know how that comes out if it ever happens. In the end, it comes down to this...as long as everybody involved is ok with the plans ahead of time...it's all good. Just make sure everybody in the team knows the rules. |

I'm sure it would never happen in cA, but I have heard of Soc team hunts, where the soc-member has kept the Camo Arms, not split the money when it sold, and left the society he was in to get away with it. So make sure you know those in your Soc well too.

Most of the time if you hunt with people you trust there won't be much problems indeed.
About the mod fap thingie, I've been thinking about that alot myself. What to do when you loot a mod fap in team? And to be honest I don't know .... I think it would be a real shame selling it, i bet all team members would like to keep it, and nobody can probably pay the price for it to keep it. I hope someday there might be some form (and preferably a secure one ) of shared ownership? That would probably solve the biggest issues. |

Everybody trusts the others. I usually hunt with 2 other peeps, and I am quite sure that should we ever loot a Mod Fap, we'll figure something out. Personally? I'd say hang onto it. Agree every member gets it for a week at a time, and rotate. The value most likely will only increase in time. Granted, if it drops, you'll shoot yourself in the foot, but at least you'll have had a heckuva time healing people and having them go: "OMG YOU'RE UBBAH!" ![]() |

For mee it would depend on who im hunting with, If it is with soc we have policies in place to deal with it, short story is if loot for example amod fap in a team/soc hunt those who remain in will always beneift (if i even disband then there sill will be the friendships and they will benefit).
The moment a lending system in place goes then everybody will get to use anything have (and reciprocation would be expected) Ususally in those case i have the loot distrubtion as equal for money and random for items if the server determens you get it, then you get it end of discussion. In sistuations where i might team with other friends or people of similer or better skil then its damage determines. If you can deal the damage you get the loot even if its mod fap and i say wow! a mod fap! grats. The would often get invited on more team hunts for at the very least a medic and i would hope that i would at least get lots of indrect usage of it, if not oh well. Same with if im doing a team consisting of noobs for TP runs its then damage determines, an since i and other higher level people with me leading the TP trek can out shoot a jester the point is moot. Also in society, if there was an uber item i did not want then a soc member can get it for TT and TT not market price would be the deciding factors Additionally i place a lower value on things i loot compared tothings i buy. wich means im much much more likely to loan out a looted item than i would an item i paid for, including a mod fap. My reaon is simple, while it may have high value it didnt cost me much to get it, and the trauma of its loss would be less. You can be damned sure if i paid $10K us for a fap nobody would ever get to touch that item unless there was a reciprical level of trust already build ( meaning if you have over time loaned me such items i wouldnt think twice before doing the same for you). This is at least how i would deal with such situations. I view it as this. if in a team and i looted a good item based on the team rules then you helped me get that item. That means you now have an ally that you know of who now will use that item to your benefit. If i got an additional one or looted another then you will be the first person who will get first chance to have it and for a steal of a price. |

getting the item in the first place is pretty much the roll of a dice , so I reckon the ability to roll a dice for the item amongst the team would be fair

I dont realy see the problem here? When somebody gets an uber item I usually gratz them. If you where in the same team and perhaps helped take the mob down, so what? The person that got the item was lucky, next time it might be yourself.
I know that if I where in a team with somebody looting a valuable item I would perhaps feel a little envy at first, but it would be overshadowed by my happines for my mate. I would never ask for share of that item. Of course I would expect the same attitude from my team mates of I was the one to loot it. Seeing a few responses here I understand my viewpoint might not be shared by the mayority, but then you need to have set rules before the hunt. If somebody dont follow the rules. I guess he (or she) will have a hard time finding a new team to hunt with ![]() Sunlee |
