Hunting with armour is essential for economy in general, unless you have an imp/mod fap but then you're probably not reading this guide
You have to hunt for a decent length and at a decent speed. Simply a matter of having a bit of common sense and making sure that you've got the best combination of armour/plates and gun for a particular mob. Say you're hunting the argos N of Twin, pixie + 5A plates leaves the young and adults doing 1 damage and anything up to guardian being very easy to hunt too witht the odd fap in between mobs. Repairs are hardly even noticeable Seeing people hunt things like argo youngs in ghost or nemesis using a bravo is nuts ![]() |

hello all and thanks for your answers and thoughts ...
Okay, maybe I did not stress one point enough in my original post ... Eco and nothing else ... - of course you don't get any medical skills if you don't fap - of course you don't develop very fast if you solely concentrate on mobs you can kill without armor and/or fap - of course its not fun to always hunt the same low(ish) mobs all the time - of course there are some mobs, maturities and density you can only find on taxed land - of course your defense skill will not develop at all if every mob you shoot dies before it even reaches you - last but not least of course you will get bored if you follow this guide exactly I solely aimed at eco with no other thought in my mind when writing this initial post (btw, just returned from a 5 hour atrox hunt in Ithaca with a whopping 25 ped armor and 12 ped fap bill, lol) ... [b] But if you're low on peds or in actams position (being very new to EU) you can stretch your ped much longer with following a few of those tips ILW |

The ultimate ECO guide to EU - Short on ped, have a read !! So, I am going to assume I am short on ped.... and see how I feel about the following: you don't get any medical skills if you don't fap - if I fap allot, I loose the eco and get a big repair bill... you don't develop very fast if you solely concentrate on mobs you can kill without armor and/or fap - are you serious, that is how to do it!! remember I need to get allot of skill cheaply when I don't have money. its not fun to always hunt the same low(ish) mobs all the time - I have to agree, but I am short of money, I can only afford them, and also, I get more skills cheaper there are some mobs, maturities and density you can only find on taxed land - especially those that drop vigi harnesses, damn I need one fast... your defense skill will not develop at all if every mob you shoot dies before it even reaches you - something is wrong with your eco if you can kill a mob before it reaches you, it means you got the wrong weapon... you will get bored if you follow this guide exactly - bored but not poor, wait, that's exactly how rich people are: BORED AND NOT POOR! Thank you for reading, don't feel offended by the extra irony, but next time, please stick to your own teachings. I may have only one year EU experience but I play every day and I understand certain discrete workings. |

I agree with this, one more thing is that to increase your chances of getting a global and profiting on a hunt rather than just about breaking even, huntin with armour is essential for economy - you have to be able to hunt the mobs fast, and without fapping all the time between mobs with a fap 5. Just a matter of choosing the right armour and plates for the right mob And also, hunting economically does not mean hunting small mobs. If you use the Korss h400 and a decent amp you can hunt lots of bigger mobs in a very economical way ![]() |

However, EVERYONE can hunt small mobs, with cheap guns, like Svempas, with cheap amps, and cheap armor. And there are some small mobs that give amazing loots such as exas, some corns, and many more. |

maybe its been mentioned before, but great eco is not always ideal
lets say you have a great eco gun/fap and armor well a mob runs at you, you blast him up, fap a lil, and take some dmg in the proccess. great the mob is dead. (so fap decay/armor decay and gun decay) but if u consider a weapon that is not eco, say a high dmg/sec gun, then we have the following situation mob runs at you, you blast him, it dies before it gets to you so now we have a less eco gun, costing us more in decay, but we are saving our fap and armor costs so what am i trying to say? hmm :p lol well eco is good, and should be understood, but the point of eco is to look at ur whole package, and not as individual componants, its easy to say, oh fap 5 is the most eco so use that but the time u spend fapping under a mob is time you are taking damage, and thus incuring costs in armor decay so when looking at eco, bear in mind its not just the weapon/armor/fap figures, its the total package |

I only looked at the first post, and it looks great! I will definitely try to "force" (annoy to death) the most stuborn players of my soc who always complain about bad loots and how this game drys their wallets, blablabla, to take a look at your thread.
For miners who seek for economy, I would say: even if you have a good system to mine, eventually you will meet a few mobs on your way. Therefore, if they want to lower their losses, they should also have economical hunting gear. At least for me, it doesn't make any sense to mine totally unarmed (thinking about a claim surrounded by 6-7 atrax dominants with a couple of foul raiders around it, when I ran out of ammo last week). And of course, when mining, stick to tools you fully master. Ah, and for a better economy, don't use a drilling tool that pulls more ore than there is in your claim. When in doubt, use the TT drillers, they have the best eco, if I'm not mistaken (I have to check the (L) ones just to be sure). |
