Hello peeps,
the following guide has one, let me emphasis this again one purpose. This is to maximise your eco when playing EU... Its solely based on my experience (so feel free to disagree with points) But if your budget is small or you are down on peds feel free to consider the odd suggestion I am giving here to increase your eco, consequently to reduce your losses ... Okay, here we go: Hunting - Do not hunt on taxed land EVER - Ma's average loot-per-mob is lower than the cost-of-kill (we all know that). So why give away 1-5% of that loot to landowners ?? Have a quick look on pe-wiki to find the mob you like to hunt and in 99% of the case you can hunt that exact same mob in Eudoria without paying taxes. There really is no good reason for hunting on taxed land at all. A good friend has hoffed on CND for 7.2k a few weeks ago (thinking about it made me realise that Jon Neverdie hoffed on his hof !!!) - Hunt without armor - Everytime I hunt in my shogun + 2a's Atrox in Ithaca my repair bill exceeds 20 ped (granted, I am considered a n00b and am hit often, but even an uber does get hit, hence will have decay). Save decay and hunt smaller mobs where armor is not necessary. - Unless you have an adjusted improved or modified fap, stick to a fap-5. Please note, you do not need an emergency fap if you hunt mobs you can kill without fapping. IF you get in trouble, you clearly hunt mobs that are bigger then you can do un-armored without fapping. - Guns Now everyone can probably write a few pages about the right gun-setup, so here are my thoughts in a nut-shell. Seriously contemplate your skills and decide whether you are ready for a non-sib weapon. Since this guide focuses on ECO only I suggest that unless you have a HA of 10.0 and max damage you stick SIB weapons as they are more economical. The best l-rifle ECO has the Breer M2a (L) which you can buy in Sakura City for just 44 ped giving you an ECO of 4.04 (unamped) and amped with an A102 of 4.18 (not many weapons give such an extremely good eco whilst having a SIB bonus) - Do not tt your loot. Throughout my time within EU, I have seen many people who simply shredder about everything they loot because they cannot be bothered to sell/auction it. Whilst this is okay for those who are not eco driving, most items have a mark-up on them (even wool sells for 101% if you have a sufficient amount for sale). Trading - Do not auction stackable amounts under 50 (preferably 100) PEDs It costs 50 pec inserting fees for each auction, so why auction off 5x 10 (paying 2.5 PED), if you can auction 1x 50 ped worth of stuff (paying 50 pec). In addition to the saved insertion fees, bigger amounts are generally higher sought off so you will attract a higher price for your goods. - Have a buyout in every sale. That buyout should be higher than the current paucation price. Reason being is that most buyers rather have the item now then waiting another few days until the auction finishes. Most of those buyers do not mind paying a little over the odds for a nice big amount of stackable ready to have NOW As I don’t do mining or crafting I could not give any advise in those directions. And should you think this is boring (I wanna hunt with my ghost + plates and kill atrox with my MK. IV then by all means do so, this guide is only aimed at eco, nothing else Comments Welcome ILW |

especially not the official one and unofficial you had more ![]() even other peeps that you met more often ![]() call it a bump edit, maybe something i might add if you want to be eco, hunt stuff you can kill fast mobs will regenerate health, so that are unnecessary shots stay away from fast regenerating mobs for sure, especially those with quite much HP (berys) Last edited by Alice; 01-19-2007 at 18:32. |

Only 1 remark rest is great.
Armor decay is generally cheaper as fap decay, its the mob choice that counts. atrox for example do 3 damage types that makes your armor absorb more and thus decay more. Stick with 1 or 1.5 damage types mobs like argos, corns, exa's, longu u name it pewiki will fill it in. Also overprotecting will cost u, u will have to try and aim at around 5 damage per hit through your armor so u can fap cheap with a fap 5 after. Start using a fap 50 if u are at the point where u seem to heal faster naturally then u do fapping with a fap 5. So snabs and small exa naked, bigger exa and ex berry in pixy, argos u would be looking around shogun or plate the pixy or kobolt witch also lets u hunt fefs. Thats all, great work and thought for the new ppl to the game. p.s. breer m1 + 102 gives 4.21 according to pewiki, and remember dieing is cheaper against a too big mob then fapping.Totally not a fun way but its the eco way. ![]() |

Same thing with mining, stay away from any LA with high % tax. Refrain from using amps before you max your mining tools and when you maxed out use amps gradually starting with 101.
Other miners could add more tips here GL to you Max |

Counter-response post to first post, please read the arguments. I am against the topic starter on some advices.
Hunting - Some mobs only live in taxed lands. Hunting these mobs, will guarantee an extra 5% (less/more) loss in TT loot. If you are touched by fortune, you could get great loots, if not, usually bad loots. The reason to be inclined to hunt on taxed lands are the loots. Mob-specific items drop every 250 mobs or so, rare items at every few thousand mobs. Common resources allot more. If your average tt+ for the loot you get exceeds 5% of that loot, then you cancel the effects of the tax. I can mention Angel, Chronicle parts, and uber guns, that can drop from certain mobs. - Hunt WITH armor. If your armor gets decayed less than 5% the value of the loot or the hunt, then you need to move on to better mobs, or get better eco guns, slower killing versions. If your armor gets decayed more than 10%, then you need another amor, another mob or another weapon. Decay is not that bad. Bad eco and overshooting ARE BAD! - Use two faps: Emergency fap: 30-50 heal, high decay, but it will help you when you need it. In the rest of the time, use the cheapest slowest fap you can stand using. Time is money, don't spend your time away. - Guns: make sure you pick your mob first then your gun. Calculate ahead (manually or on certain sites) how many shots it takes to kill the mob (try to get around 10 shots), how much overkill you could do, how much time it takes (try less than 15 seconds, more than 5 for sure). The pure eco of a gun MEANS NOTHING if you use it wrongly. Buying a certain "better" "faster" "eco-ish" gun could be a bad choice if you get more overkill, get worse eco and you don't know how to hunt (miss, shoot after the dead mob, don't use finishing weapon). Get a finishing weapon, to match 50% overkill on the weapon/mob setup. - TT everything that is worth less than +0.5 or 105% and it comes in small amounts. You need the money, and you could waste more money and time trying to sell that crap. There is a limit to what you consider crap to be, make sure you stick to yours at all times. Trading - Trade stackable items considering the following: * you get a better price at "magic" markup levels * you get a better price at "magic" round final prices * the items are in demand, and demanding buyers are willing to pay MORE for LESS. More money for less of the stuff. * set a buyout, be honest, be smart, if it covers market price and your fee costs, set it at that level, you need to sell not to get the best price. * failing to sell an item, costs time and money. remember you need to sell! I agree a bit with the first poster on the last trading bits, but I shown contradictory arguments for the rest of the advices, wich I consider will give you a better balanced and maybe even more profitable EU experience. |

Some more tips for the mob:
-Hunt mobs that have low aggression so you will have to deal with one at a time. Atrox is an example of a mob you should not be hunting if you are thinking eco. -Only hunt mobs that you can sweat. Sweat them until they come for you. This saves the tag bullets and gives free income. That rules out the argonauts. - Hunt mobs that give nice income on the stackables. mobs that drop lots of hides or wools are good.. mobs that carry teeth that you can make buttons of absolutely rock. They will pay 600% so if it carries teeth you already have 24 pecs loot. Mobs that carry bones are not soo good because they have higher agression and will try to tag team you. On the armour: Always wear low decay plates on your low decay armour, so the damage gets evenly divided.. for example: gnome/2a is better then wearing rascal. Check out the decay bill after a hunt to see the difference (protection against mob being almost identical , 16-7 against 15-8) |
