IMHO resellers are important in the economy, when there is profit to be made someone will make it and that serves us all by stabilizing prices and speeding up the process. I would be happy when my stuff gets sold for the price that I want.
HOWEVER I do understand where you are coming from and why it bothers you as a business, something you can consider for your special clients that you want to preserve is something along the lines of advertising specific restock times via FL or website just for them. As for the entire crafting community that would be much harder and anyway I am sure alot of crafters would buy stuff and resell if they could make a profit even if it wasnt what they came in the shop for in the first place. Last thing, Good Job with your shop! I allways visit it when looking for resources ![]() |

Stop pissing on resellers.
If you don't like a price then don't buy/sell. If someone else does, it's none of your bussnis. If I want to buy sweat at 0.5 for example, stop wihning. If I sell it later at 0.7, stop whining. If you don't like trading, busniss or economy, go and play some first person shooter. But most of all DONT thank in advance |

Absolutely -- If he wants a private shop he should be able to make it private.
My question is this: How is he going to know what a person on his Buyer List is going to do with the stuff after he buys it? Some sort of surveillance? |

I was offering a possible practical solution for now, not for when/if MA change the rules. Would you ban anyone who resold something from your store? even if they are frequent buyers for crafting purposes? |

I wouldn't monitor anyone just follow my intuition, if I dont know them and never had the chance to meet and talk with them in my shop and the person kept buying all my stuff I would ban them. This doesn't need to be a perm ban, they could be removed if I found out later they really did use the stuff.

Let me see if I get this right.
Because you are too lazy to go out and sell your materials directly to crafters, you have a shop that you only want crafters to buy from. To enforce this, you want to be able to ban all of the evil-doers that buy your stuff to resell at a profit. To do that, you plan to run around spying on auctions and, presumably, stalking your customers to make sure they are up to your high moral standards. Am I right, so far? Now, say that an honorable crafter comes along who has lived a chaste life and actually meets the criteria to be granted entrance to your shop. Is that crafter then obligated to sell his or her wares at a cheaper price than all of the other crafters who payed retail for their materials? What if he/she did the dishonorable thing and charged market value for his/her wares? Would he/she then be banned, too? Or am I thinking too much? - btw, I meant evil-doers, not Evil Doer. Completely different subject. ![]() |

Trust is right, you should be able to be master of you own property. Many irl stores have the power to deny people, which misbehave according to shop owner’s rules, access. Not to speak about irl club owner’s power to deny people. That is real market economy.
One of the ides of shopping malls is to take the power away from resellers and give it back to the people. The more people can influent the everyday activities the more they will prosper. The needs of the many out weights the needs of the few or the one. |
