Depo or Withdraw.

"Dont know if you (I) should Deposit.

There is already so many doing that and the lootpool is never empty. (As long someone els is depositing.)
And reson for Depo is mainly to beeing able to hunt bigger and craft bigger. But I dont need that. I know alot of people hate me for not depositing to there loot pools, but why should I? Unless to make MA happy.

Why should someone make a deposit?

I deposited 2 years ago for the first time to stop sweating.
It was 100 ped I think, with that I started mining.
After a while the money was gone and I would deposit another 10$
This was about 2 months from when I started.

When I got better I upgraded the deposit amount to 20$
I started to do somehunting every now and then too, tailoring from the hides I found.

In the end I found myself depositing 100$ a week becuase for a year now my returns are next to 0. I'm not sure on what to do now... I think it's going way too far imo.

Anyone who knows my story, knows that my husband starting playing before I did, so I was introduced into the game extensively by watching over his shoulder.
There was NO WAY I was going to sweat, let alone run around in those godawful OJ's ... so we deposited $25 for me to start.
I got basic stuff, full Paladin, a mk1, an amp, etc. etc.
We deposited a few times after that, and didn't feel any remorse as we deposited to have fun, and figured it would be part of our entertainment part of the budget.
Since the tiger arms, we haven't had to deposit much at all, and I got that as my first uber loot, 3 months into the game.
I don't think I will ever withdraw, as I enjoy the game too much .. but don't quote me on that.
Now, if I were to hit some HUUUUUGGEEE hof .. there's the possibility that I would withdraw, but when you work it out to $$$ & the fees on the ATM Card & the limits on the withdrawals per day .. sometimes it's not even worth it in the end.
But .. who knows.

As for the loot pool .. I think that comes mostly from Ad's, Mall sales... etc. etc.

100$ a week? Thats a little to mutch I think, and nice story Danielle. I´ll look for those arms before i deposit then. Will probebly look for a long time.

When I started playing I started sweating, for buying opalo & ammo.

I wanted to depo 10$, to try mining and got myself 270 ped lyst hof and some other good finds I did not depo for a while. Untill I wanted to buy myself a Nemesis armor.

After that I made some small deposits (10 - 20$) if I was getting bored of sweating.

The next big one was to buy a OLA, the income of that LA pays my daily hunting trips.

last month I another depo to get myself the hunting gear I always wanted.

So untill I want to buy another LA or something like that I don't think I need much depositing. (Or it should be a shadow for a very good price.)

If U dont deposit and youre enjoying the game playing it at a slower pace, do so. If U want to pick up the pace a little, deposit and blast away. I was a non-depositer myself for a long time, then I deposited a rather big ammount to support my trading activities.

Whatever u do, do what U feel like doing.

Actually I do read two questions here.
So My answer would be different to both.

1) Why should I deposit at all?
If you have a goal to use better equipment and the long way by playing very economically, maybe even do hours of trading and so on, to scratch the money together is not your thing.
But if you are happy playing the way you do with the equipment you got, then there is no need.
I myself have to deposit sometimes to keep on mining, when luck is very bad.
But return is ok regularly enough (dry spell atm but it will pass), so I was able to get better equipment without depositing as much as I did expect necessary.
So the answer is plain: you should deposit when its necessary for playing the way you long to play and when you can afford it.

2) Deposit or Withdraw?
I do understand this question as: Deposit and keep playing or withdraw and quit?
The answer is also plain: if you like the game see answer to question 1, if you don't like the game anymore then first make up your mind. MA will close an account after one year inactivity and even thats not final, so take a break of several months if necessary, because if you have sold everything there is no return. When you are sure you don't like the game anymore then sell everything and withdraw.
Oh and if you make enough money to withdraw anyway then the question is more like "how much should I withdraw?"

Very good response, I see alot of logic in there. I have money to deposit, but i don´t feel that i need to, more then alot of athers that have deposit complain about me getting there money. =/

Thats alittle why it became two questions.
Since i whanna know what made you depo.

And buying a OLA is something I still just dream of. Dón´t even have enoth money Irl to make is possible.
