Assumed an item does finally hit the roof in its price...
lets say its a modfap that was sold for, hm, 500,000 ped.

Somebody put 50,000$ into the game to buy it.
Now a radical change devalues the fap to about 200,000 ped.
And with this I mean NOBODY is willing to pay more than that.

What happens then?
MA will have earned easy 30,000$ and some player lost these dollars.
So what?
Someone who is willing to pay that much for a first aid package is doing its on the own risk.

30,000$=300,000 ped more in the lootpool - quite OK if you ask me

And what is in the opposite case?
Someone bought it for 600,000 ped, what then?
10,000$=100,000 ped more in the lootpool are also OK imo

So what now?
All that happens is that some crazy people invest more than a medium car is worth into a virtual item and my individiual lootpool maybe even is affected positively.

OK so I can not afford a mod fap... well not all can drive a rolls royce the same time.

The cool thing is that neither MA, nor the regular player are affected.
Only some people willing to put a lot of money onto an item will possibly lose or win and I could not care less if its a reseller or a player wanting to have that item.

It seems to me like as soon as an item (or a set of items, like an armor) is sold for some amount of PED more then they use to the price will go straight to that level - all sold after will be at that level. Or people will at least try to get it. And if they don't get that much for it, then it will take a whole lot longer before the price is down, to where it started, again.

The most typical comment in sales threads must be "This other guy got this or that much for it so I want the same."
(Not saying it can't be the normal markup, but often people tend to only include the expensive examples.)

What? No. He still has the money on his PED card, and unless he stands around for a week shooting into thin air with the most uneconomic-high-powered weapon there is, he's not going to spend it all in that short time. A PED can't be present in the pool (assuming there is one), because it's actually somewhere else.

Its one point of view. Anyhow i think monopoly is bad. Its not good for anyone either that a few people buys up for 100.000 of money of the market to have them all. and therefore set the prices.

Prices on "uber" gear will never drop as its only for the few. I think alot of you dont understand that to the truly rich these prices are peanuts, and they will continue to rise im afraid to inform you.
As to your gripe about resellers i can understand why you're upset but to honest they do perform a service. Otherwise someone may be stuck with an item for months without selling an item and have no ped to play. The other side to that is you can look forever for an item you want with no joy.
I have to say though some of the profits they make do seem to be abit greedy, but if people pay it then fair enough in my eyes. Ive seen many items reduced in price by resellers simply because there has been no interest so if noone buys the price will drop.
Oh and there is no "monopoly", just some people have more than others... fact of life unfortunately.

All I see here is you trying to get Into an argument over something picky such as the technical definition of a word. Sure, technically he's resold. Therefore "reseller", but you know for a fact that the word reseller in out Virtual universe has a more specific meaning. Meaning a selfish person who buys with sole purpose to sell at a later date for proft.

Alot of people cant afford more than a few uber toys in this game. so he has to sell one to buy another. He already stated too that he sold those arms for a loss. Which was sold on BO. the uber item market is only cornered by the reselling community, cause the buyers continue to buy from them. in star's shadow thread, atm, she even admits she paid 55k for the set. the offer is 60k, so nice 5k right there for star. but due to greed, it's not enough, star states she wants 65k and will wait to get her price. so 10k is what is costs to "enhance one participant's gameplay" and sell to another.

well, all it says to me is shadow costs 55k atm. i bought my imp 2870 for 45k from a reasonable seller, and i'd pay no more for shadow than 55k as well.

so buy this overpriced shit, you just further the problem. but if you out the price on an item like i did with my imp 2870, well, then resellers will bend over backwards to get rid of their imp 2870s for what they paid. the power here in this situation is really in the hands of the buyers, anyway.

I think this universe is changing so fast towards the (L) version giving players such as myself not only weapons that are affordable but also have 10/10 HA on that the uber items are infact not worth their money and in the long term the reseller that risks filling a shop with them could lose a heck of a lot of money. IMKII and MM are not as desirable to me as they were even just a couple of months ago. They may do the damage and they may have the economy but without 10/10 the stats mean nothing.

Armour and FAPs seem to be different atm but in the future who knows?

cause i would pay star not 1 ped more than 55k, which is the price. and there is by no means a monoploy on male shadow. it just takes patience to find anything at the price you seek.

but on aimk2, i'd say stormer and neo have a monopoly on that item. have no idea, if there is another amm, but neo has the only one i know of.

if you speak of monopoly, it means monopoly. selling male shadow when nobody else is willing to do so, is just called reselling on a good time to do so.

see what happens if 5 male sets go up for sell for less. star will pull that auction for not meeting her 65k buyout i am sure.
