How much does the game cost or are you making a profit?

This is just a quick poll on user behaviour. Please base your answers on average monthly spend over the last six months (or however long you have been in PE) for playing the game.

The reason for this is that there seems to be very different views on how much people put into the game and the player profile and the average spend to play the game.

The last input to the similar poll on this issue was in August ...pre the latest VU's... edited in response to Geten's and Ultimababe's post.

Never deposited, never intend to. After a little bit of a shaky start, I am doing alright for myself, never losing money because I am careful with it. If you think about what you're doing, you pay for this game with time instead of money.

I REALLY wouldn't know what to answer here. Over the few months that I played, I deposited about 1.5k USD. A LOT of that is in my inventory, though I have started selling stuff again. If I go by a rough estimate, I'd get 1k back easily. However, I might get more than that.

I started buying "good" stuff way too fast, and my impatience really did not help. I wasted money when I was drunk, when I was too hasty. I gave stuff away. I have quite some skills, which were not taken into consideration when calculating the 1k.

I DO intend on trading to make up for the difference, and continuing hunting the way I do now, and with a little luck, I might just get lucky some day. Until I stablized (sp?) I would not have the first clue on how much I'd have to pay.

Fact is, I've been taking things easy since my last deposit, and have gone almost a month now without a deposit.Due to the fact I sold off a couple of k worth of stuff, there's no way i could specify whether i profited or not though.

For many of us our time is better used making money IRL and then spending the $$'s in the game. The few times a week that I can get online I just want to go kill kill kill and not spend time sweating or trading. In fact, I almost always tt my loots because I find trading so boring.

I think you should make some modifications, for example, remove the word "cost". PE is free and does not "cost" anything, it's all about how much you are willing to deposit

Well I have accumulated rather nice skills after playing since January, and of course I can easily stay in the game, and collect peds, and would never need to deposit. Remember, it takes money to make money, and after you have put in a certain amount (and given that you were smart about how you spent it), it should be no problem to at least break even on average.

As i started, I could easily stay in game for free...But theres still some things left that I want now
