I think the storyline is a great platform to build upon but that's almost where it ends too. With or without it you have no use for it - atleast not currently. But this great storyline can be use to continue to build up the scene where we currently live.
What I would like to see is something like this:
Eons back ago I found a Huge oil. As rumour spread that the Government would build hangars, I kept the oil in storage some months thereby raising the value by some 45%. This kind of information could help each of us to draw our own conclusions - in my case I was lucky - but the news or political initiative put the gameplay from my side in a different situation.
A more current thing is these RX Robots. What's the meaning with these? Killpoints? Why are they here? Have they been seen elsewhere?
MA background is like an empty room with robots. When they are killed - dont forget to switch off the light.
As someone put it elsewhere - too many loose ends.
I do understand that "Knowledge is power" and therefore any information has a value. This means that the economical balance ingame can easily get uncontrolled - and
MA nor we want that to happen. Just look at the aftermath that followed the change on armor when junkarmor suddenly was primetime - like Jaguar.
What
MA needs is a roadmap with no loose ends meaning that information is shared, we can follow the story from start to aha!, and the effects are more or less under control.
