OK, I'm not a full-time miner, but I've done my fair share. (Lvl 13 Prospector and lvl 9 Surveyor)

And finally, I found my 1st spaceship!



All res, but I don't care.

So, tell me, is it typical to do this much mining before finding one of these buggers?

BTW This was on Merc's mining LA, so enjoy the taxes, mate.

Hmm, I assume since this counts as a mining global that the LA owner gets taxes, yeah? If that's the case, then this confirms that taxes do NOT take away from your loot. If they did, then on Merc's 4% LA I would have got only 48 ped of res and thus no global.

Congrats!!


Don't know how typical it is but I obtained my first (and only) strange signal on my 3rd day mining.

I suspect I was just doing very badly, and MA made up for my losses.

Indeed they appear to be few and far between. From impromptu posts from the past it appears that ~20% of the spaceships carry beacons.

Gratz Hon ... and funny thing is ... my brother (Jetboy) mined his ass off for 3 years, and while he got a 16k+ tower at CND, he has never gotten a spacecraft. On the other hand, I have never gotten a tower, nor an uber in mining, but I have gotten 5 spacecraft so far, and 4 of them in one week ... go figure!

*no beacons though*

It's dynamic!

It also took me just over 2 years before I found my first spaceship. I found my second one just a few weeks later.

First one was a good one though, with a 35 ped beacon in it

I am 1 year and some month in game, lvl 5 or 6 prospector and surveyor now and find 4 or 5 spaceships. Almost all was with a deposit little days before. I am thinking bad always
