What a great way to start 2009... with a strange signal!

Short version, got a 25 PED beacon on my first robot ship!

Long version, here it goes.

I was sweating as usual in Nea's, while chatting with friends. Bored to death, decided to spend the few remaining PED on my card and give a try at mining. Off I go to Treasure Island, looking mostly for Nexus, a friend suggested me to go to the northern beach and give a try there. A few probes dropped, a few small claims, losing as usual. Then I saw the "A strange signal is picked up..." message on the finder instead of the usual and expected "No resources found...". I nearly crafted common dung on my pants with it. So brave yet afraid, I rush to the place where the ship landed. Saw a few drones, as expected, the ship was still there, good. No GD's around, even better. Now all what I had to do is to press the button... survived the pissed drones' attempt to seize my strike, well they couldn't! Among the usual robot spare parts, there was a 25 PED beacon! As you can see by the screenshots, they were nice enough to let me live for a few more seconds to enjoy my victory. If I got my first robot ship, with a beacon on the first day of 2009, I'm just anxious to see what's coming next.
