Someone else also had a problem that the autoscreen was not triggered when installed on D:, so I will look into it ASAP. Should not really matter where the sound files are, but I will look into it and release an update asap.

If you don't et AutoScreen to take screen shot automatically, make sure you have this registry settings correct:

- Click START - RUN - REGEDIT

Locate this setting:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\N tfsDisableLastAccessUpdate
0 -> enable last access update

Some don't have this settings, others do, so if you do, set the value to 0.

I don't have the setting by default, but added it to see what happens. But unfortunately no change.

PS: For those less familiar with windows registry, HKLM stand for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

PS: +rep for the responsetime, a lot of commercial software vendors can't match that ;-)

BTW whats your file system on D: drive? Fat32 or NTFS?
If Fat32, then that might me the problem.

D is FAT32

Then thats probably the cause of your problem, the FAT32.
I'll check if there is anything I can do about this, so that the software can
support FAT32. Get back to you later.

FAT32 Does not support "last file accessed time" only date, thats why AutoScreen will not work on FAT32.

I would consider making any FAT32 disks to NTFS or you need to move Entropia Folders to a drive that have the NTFS format.

I can't see any other solution at this time, but I'll check some more.

Damn, it did work before though...

I have a FAT32 filesystem to be able to exchange data from my *nux partition to my WinXP environment. Well, I will have to create another partition for that then ;-)

Converting my filesystem ATM.

Edit: This appears to solve my problem.
So this means that Entropia must be installed on a NTFS filesystem for Autoscreen to work? Fair enough for me ;-)

To convert your filesystem:
type the following command at the command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)
convert d: /fs:ntfs

replace d: with the drive letter you want to convert
and wait for a bit. Possibly the convert command asks you whether it should schedule the action for the next reboot. In that case, answer yes and reboot ;-)

Yes Entropia must be installed on NTFS.

Reason: AutoScreen check for activity on the sound files using the last accessed date and time. On FAT32 the time stamp is always 00:00 so AutoScreen will not see any change other than when the date changes.

So make sure your Entropia drive is NTFS for AutoScreen to work.

Functions / Options yet to implement:

- Smaller AutoScreen watermark
- Option to place images in different sub folders named date
(suggested by Bonez - nice suggestion btw)
- Function to move customized watermark text vertical to desired place.
- Option to minimize (start file watching) at AutoScreen startup
